Snagged HIAC '10 and Bragging Rights '10 tonight. Still need Night of Champions and Survivor Series to be caught up on the 2010 PPVs. I check 3 Wal-Marts and NONE of them had Survivor Series or the new Heenan DVD, adding to my suspicion that my local WM stores are going to stop selling WWE DVDs. Nah, they arent. They just get limited copies in. I said before that the Heenan DVD wouldnt have much mass appeal. Thats why its coming out the week after Christmas instead of before. Hell it got one commercial on Raw last night, and it was at the end of the show. That makes me believe WWE doesn't have much hope for it either, but the fact they are putting it out for Bobby is still classy as hell. Anyways I don't think Walmart will stop selling WWE DVD's, they order light on them, and what they do get in sells out fairly quick. So I have to say it again. If you plan on getting WWE DVD's at Walmart, you need to get them first day, or friday at the latest. They will more than likely be gone before the weekend is over. Another poster mentioned in the Heenan DVD thread that Walmart had broken street date for Bobby's DVD, that may be another reason you cant find it. I got mine at FYE yesterday as well.

I noticed that when I helped my niece and nephew open their copy of The John Cena Experience DVD I got for them. Glad to know I'm not the only one that noticed this. There was no insert in the Top 50 WWE Superstars DVD set either. Same with Best of Smackdown 2009-2010. And for the record I recommend The John Cena Experience, it's a good DVD. Smackdown 2009-2010 has some stuff that unfortunately got left out. Most notably LayCool's going away party for Mickie James, and Drew McIntyre vs Teddy Long. Maybe your Wal Marts are starting to become like my Wal Mart when it comes to new releases, waiting a long ass time to put them out. My Wal Mart didn't have the Heenan one out when I went there earlier today at 4 pm. Hell, the day Wrestlemania 25 came out they hadn't put them all out and that was at 5:30 pm.

So I got around to watching the Heenan documentary. Its about what you'd expect for someone who was a manager (even the best one ever). At only 50 minutes, it really leaves you wanting for more. I would say if you can still find it, get The Brain's first book. Despite a few errors it gives you a better overall feel for the guys career.
I also watched The John Cena Experience on Blu. I thought it was really good, and it was amazing to see just how much time he puts into Make A Wish. The ending could have been a little better though, he gets his stitches and removes and thats how it ends? Still a good "day in the life" style documentary though.

Was in Walmart today just looking around for no particular reason.
I happened to notice a copy of L&T of Mr Perfect being in the $5 bin (as was mentioned today) so it's a widespread thing it seems.
Also, they only had one copy of the new Bobby Heenan dvd on the shelf. I thought about getting it but I don't want to pay retail for wrestling dvds very often. It was $17.99.

Ahoy mateys! I just took a bunch of pictures featuring my WWE DVD's. I edited them/made them smaller as to not eat so much bandwidth. All total I got 32 shots, and I am going to make multiple posts so it doesn't look like hell in one. Anywhos, here are the first nine: {Spoiler} After Wrongfully Accused (R.I.P Leslie Nielsen), it has discs ranging from "The American Dream: The Dusty Rhodes Story" to the newest Shawn Michaels compilation, "My Journey". Right now my discs are in somewhat alphabetical order, or as according to DVDAF. This pic has DVD's ranging from "The Definitive Ric Flair Collection" to "Viva La Raza" in the tin, with some goodies down below. The goodies include the Rock's elbow pad that came with "The Greatest Stars of the '90's" set to video games to other $1 DVD's. Yes, I am talking about those "Superstars of Wrestling" discs where we had Nikolai Volkoff and Fred Blassie SING! All four WWF Home Video Wrestlemania DVD's. XV I got for less than $15 which is a rarity! X-8 has no poster, but that's fine, 2000 is in wonderful shape, and X-Seven has something special which I'll show a bit later on. All of the WWE Home Video Wrestlemania DVD's I own. XX is the slim one as you notice, 21 has a hub cracked, 22 is in good shape, and 23 is the tin with a ticket stub from the WM Revenge tour of that year. Notice the Roddy Piper and Booker T signatures on XIX! All of the WWE Home Video Wrestlemania Blu-Ray's. All three have receipts in them! And all three look pretty good in HD. All of the Wrestlemania discs as one big happy family! The Hell in the Cell box with Undertaker bust. Paid a measly $17 for it, well off the original $84.99 price tag! The Royal Rumble Vol.2 by itself. Gee, someone wrote me a letter, the person who sold the disc. Gee I wonder who that is? BLADE BRAXTON!

Very nice collection! Envious of the Rumble with the letter and the HIAC Undertaker bust. Yeah it was good. It seemed to move way too fast though, and barely touched on his WCW tenture and his health problems. For instance, his wife talks about how much he liked being near his home and family when he jumped to WCW. Yet, just a while later it was talked about how much disliked his time at WCW, but the only thing they show on there is the Nitro cologne spot, which does not even go into the horrors of WCW backstage politics at that time. I would have liked more time on that, because I followed WCW closely in the time that he was there and thought he was great there. The bonus features were nice, though. Although I wish they would have included more classic moments, what they had in there was good. I really wish they included more segments with Gorilla and him, aside from the Busch Gardens one. Good choice to include that one, though. As well as the the golfing tips segment with Mean Gene. I've never seen it before but was hilarious. Good set, I just wish they had another 40 or so minutes to pack in with more about his past and his various times at promotions. I totally understand why he doesn't speak in the documentary, but there are a couple bonus segments in there that have his words spoken about things.

Here is some more! Again, there will be 8 pictures here! {Spoiler} My 2008 Royal Rumble twins: A regular copy and my tin copy from FYE. The same FYE I got my Summerslam 2008 tin from (more on that later on.) The multiple-autographed copy of that Rumble inside the tin. Men signed include Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, and Ron Simmons. Inside of that copy. Complete with order slip from WWE.com (the original purchase of that disc), ticket stub from the house show three weeks prior at Mid-Hudson Civic Center, and the ticket for the Rumble itself! The back of both Rumbles. The HBK quartet. Combined, the best filmography of any wrestler in the WWE today, past present or future. From the Vault is the very first DVD I ever owned. My brother borrowed a copy from a friend, and we both figuratively crapped our pants in awe, as our exposure to legendary HBK matches was quite limited up until this time. The very limited hologram in the "From the Vault" DVD. The Born to Controversy Roddy Piper DVD signed by Hot Rod himself! (Runs from Stryker) I have been fortunate to meet the man twice, and he is probably one of the most humble legends ever! Inside, it is the 4-disc version with the booklet in the middle. The fourth disc REALLY sucks, l mean it only has TEN MINUTES worth of stuff on it! Don't go too far, more goodies to come a little later on!

Does anyone know the exclusive Blu-Ray features for the John Cena experience? Also, how long is the documentary part? To me it seems like that's the selling point for this one, so I would assume it's a bit longer then the normal 90 minutes?

Round 3! 6 Pics this time! {Spoiler} The three Hulk Hogan DVD's, brother! Hulk Still Rules is one of two WWE DVD's I purchased at Gamestop. The Unreleased one is a DVD I got from Shop for $9.99. The Wal-Mart special 4th disc on the Ultimate Anthology. The only problem with my set is that the binding is VERY fragile! My Foley DVD's. Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops I got from Gamestop, and Greatest Hits & Misses is the very first disc I got from Amazon with my own money! Felt proud watching it! A special autograph from Mick Foley himself, thanking me for being a fan of his and also allowing him to be an inspiration on being a fan. All of my Royal Rumbles minus the much-discussed 2008 one. 2004 is the first non-Wrestlemania PPV I ever saw live. All of my Survivor Series discs. To get 2001 for less than $20 in the US is a modern-day miracle. 2002 is my FAVORITE PPV EVER! 2007 is a really good one too! The fourth and final batch (for now) is coming soon!

Okay, here is batch four!!!!!!!! {Spoiler} My Viva La Raza tin! Purchased at Best Buy about two days after Christmas in 2008. The contents. Not pictured is the Eddie Guerrero RAW Tribute show, as released by WWE in the Viva La Raza tin itself. Also not pictured is a disc of both tribute shows burned by a former co-worker who used to talk wrestling with me all the time. I miss that dude. The ECW tin from FYE. Paid $9.99 for it, with the contents being the ONS 2005, Bloodsport, and D2D. All of my ECW DVD's together, including the original copy of Guilty as Charged from 2001. Also includes 2006 ONS (with Barely Legal 1997 as the bonus, ironic ain't it?), and Rise and Fall of ECW. The 'Rise and Fall' is the first DVD that was the equivalent of a rated R rating and my parents had no problem with it! Also, the Bloodsport DVD has made me cringe more than almost every other DVD in my collection! The Stone Cold Trilogy! The "Truth" disc I first got in 2004 on my birthday, while the other two were a FYE-exclusive double pack. The 'Cause Stone Cold Said so!" is a fine addition to anyone's library, and the credits are a hoot! My Summerslam collection. 2001 was a surprisingly inexpensive purchase ($15 sealed), 2002 was a birthday present (best SS of the 2000's), 2003 I bought with my own money (and regretted it), 2005 thwarted me for the longest time, and then the 2008 tin. The Summerslam 2008 tin. Got it for $18 (minus Backstage Pass discount). Got the receipt and ticket stubs from house shows before (and after) the event. I was at the MSG show where Cena practically did nothing because of his hurt neck. Where my receipt keeping all began: proof I bought my copy of X-Seven for 'free'!!! That's all folks! I think I might have some other oddities to post in the future, but for now, enjoy all that!

To me it seems like that's the selling point for this one, so I would assume it's a bit longer then the normal 90 minutes? Blu-ray exclusives are his WM26 match with Batista, his match from the 2009 Tribute to the Troops, some additional behind the scenes footage and a Q&A thing. WWE Blu-rays usually have nice features over the DVD. Best of Smackdown 2010 for instance had a lot of great moments that were only on that version. I was just at Walmart and scored some nice rarities. Not only did I find the Legendary Moments collection in their $5 bin, buried far under the sea of titles, but I also managed to find a Kelly figure. Collectors of the Mattel line know how difficult she is to find, so finding her in addition to the Legendary Moments set for cheap was a nice outing for me. I don't usually shop at Walmart, and based on how unorganized and messy everything was would be why I don't bother to go there. I mean, I found her within a pile of How to Train Your Dragon figures! Seems like Christmas single-handedly destroyed the store inventory. Overall I'm pretty glad with what I found there, though.

WWE DVDs have been hard for me to find since roughly September. I saw the Jericho DVD for about a week and then all WWE DVDs simply vanished.

I just got the Bobby Heenan dvd and I know abunch of you probably couldnt care less but as a person who has been purchasing WWF/E dvds for over 10 years the lack of insert is irritating. Its much more noticeable on this a regular dvd set as opposed to the high flyers one which didnt bug me.
It just kinda screams bootleg dvd to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But i'm off to watch.

I dunno man, about the inserts, a lot of DVD companies are just not doing them any more. It's not just a WWE trend but one overall. I "get" why they aren't doing it, and in some ways it doesn't matter if there is a chapter selection. It's a little annoying when you get the three-disc sets and there's no content listing, like which disc has what I want to watch on it?
WWEDVDNews.com has some custom inserts made by users over at DVDTalk which look stellar. I put the Heenan one and Top 50 Superstars ones in my set and it looks pretty great, probably better than what they'd produce.

A lot of my old, used WWE DVDs that I bought this year lack inserts. Though it's funny how some of my 2003 DVDs still have the ads that were included in them, like the advertisements for other DVDs, as well as the advertisement for the 2003 boxed set. I am thinking about keeping them in there just to relive the past.
When someone mentioned the lack of inserts, I noticed that when I bought Summerslam 2009 last week at Borders and noticed that there was no insert. I was like "What's up with that?"

Most of the PPV DVD's post 2001, and exceptions like Wrestlemania havent really ever had inserts. And if they did they were ads. I did happen to find my Insurrextion 2002 DVD today. Thats a significant event because is the last televised event ever under the World Wrestling Federation name. If you ever see it, snatch it up. The cover may say WWE, but the event itself is all WWF. The only exception is the WWE bug in the corner.
