It's garbage. Everything involved with it now just feels forced. Taker and HHH just stared at it completely eliminating the need for a promo. It's all stupid. Discuss That made the segment friggin awesome to me.

Not to mention, like it or not, not talking is basically out-of-character for Triple H. I mean, to me, it would've been much more in-character to have Undertaker come out, stoically, and just as he's about to address the crowd, be rudely interrupted by the Game. The last time I saw that much time devoted to a staredown, I was watching Dragonball Z. And they had an excuse: it was filler

I love how the general consensus was that it was pretty good but the OP keeps trying to get his argument over.
"But it sucks! It sucks! WHY AREN'T YOU GUYS AGREEING WITH ME?"

Well, I'm assuming that all the talking will come in later weeks. It's not like they will just come out and stare at each other week in and week out, looking at the marquee. This staring segment was just to make it apparent that these two want each other at WrestleMania. Why? We don't know yet.

I cant wait for Primo to point at the sign during Superstars The only way Primo will be allowed to point at the sign is if it catches fire on Superstars. Even then, they would edit out Primo and show the burning sign for an hour.

I'm extremely excited for WM. I've actually been, for the most part, enjoying WWE since at least October. I mean, it's not perfect, but when has it ever been?
Besides, I'm going to WM so it'd be kind of pointless not to be excited about it. My broke ass didn't spend over 100$ for nothing.

I am so so so tired of 100 shots of the WrestleMania sign every week.
Wrestlers point at it, cameraman focus on it in their shots, and of course, the staredown with the 2 wrestlers slowly turning their head up at the sign.
It's quite old and annoying now.

I thought the OP was saying that he hates how everyone always points or stares at the WM sign in general, not just the HHH/Taker exchange.

It's really lazy booking. Reintroducing guys that have been gone for awhile must be a booker's dream. So many awesome things you can do with it. Wether it be a run in save or a sneak attack or a surprise reveal, whatever. Instead we get them walk out, look at a sign, look at each other, leave. Intense!
Nevermind the fact that Wrestlemania is meaningless since the feuds almost never end there anymore.

I usually hate it when they hotshot a program with no build just because it's WM. But for whatever reason, I'm not hating this program at all. That said, they should have had a promo tonight, at least from Trips, to explain why he wants this match - instead of just coming out, staring at the sign, crotch-chopping, and leaving. Give me a story. You only have six weeks, so nobody should be staying silent at this point, ESPECIALLY if they're going with the rumored stip. The way WWE books these days, six weeks is practically an eternity for a build. I think the segment worked tremendously. Taker returns only to be upstaged by a returning Triple H who decides he wants to get into Taker's business. We'll find out soon enough just why that is. But even then, you don't really need that much talk when it's two guys as legendary as The Undertaker and Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Their reputations speak for themselves.

I'm not saying that's a sure deal but it's at least more likely.

I was seriously going to post a thread last week that I want the "Wrestlemania sign"(though marquee is definitely a better term for it) to GO AWAY AND NEVER COME BACK. I'm sooo sick of the forced views of the sign all night long in every freakin segment. It worked for HHH/Taker but even then they could have done something different.
I KNOW YOU LISTEN TO ME VINCE: GET RID OF THE FREAKIN SIGN

Well it does get me excited for their staring contest at Wrestlemania. Only if it's something like this:

I didn't mind Taker and HHH staring at the sign, because they're two legends that returned after taking a lot of time off and it gave the situation just a little extra gravity.
But I can't stand the way Cena stares at the sign in every segment that he's in from Royal Rumble all the way to Wrestlemania itself. The guy completely overuses the spot. For crying out loud, he did the spot with Kofi Kingston at the Rumble. Would even the markiest mark out there honestly believe that Cena/Kofi has any chance of happening at WM in the next decade??

Theyve taken something that was originally really organic and a nice touch and turned it into this overproduced forced thing with the sign. Its like when the referee had to tell Orton exactly where to stand in order to point at the sign.
