I still don't get why they don't have Jim Johnston write him something new. Because Bryan himself wants to use Valkyries.

Bryan wants to use the song that's fine. I like he chose something rather unique over the generic rock stuff I hear these days.
However, it just doesn't have something that goes OH SNAP when people hear it. Maybe if it had him say something, a dragon roaring, or glass shattering.

I definitely don't think it should open with him saying anything. Nor should it open with glass shattering, unless you just want him to get a massive pop that first week when people think it's Austin Opening with a dragon roar would be pretty awesome though. I like that idea.

It definitely needs some sort of easy to recognize sound before the music.
SCSA had a pretty generic sounding theme really but the glass shattering got the pop.
Rock has had several variants on his theme but overall it isn't particularly exciting either (Other than the fact people associate it with the rock). But it has that IF YA SMELLLL at the beginning which is good.
On to current, The Miz has his "AWEEEESOMMMME" before his theme and it works also.
DB could use something like any of these to good effect, doesn't necessarily have to be something spoken...a sound would be fine too.

True, though I still am not sure about how familiar today's youth is with it. Honestly, right now on this board I'm willing to bet there are members who know about stuff like the Flair/Steamboat matches or Bob Backlund's dropping the title to the Shiek despite either not being born or only being toddlers when they happened. So there's cartoon smarks? Sounds like fun to me! Sign me up for the Looneycrap forums. It's a great theme, but it needs some kind of opening hook and BAD. What about... "CAN YOU DIG IT SUCKA!? YES Yes yes NO No no YES Yes yes NO No no" followed by an exploding pyro? Alternatively he could go the more simplistic route with just "Gregory Helms" said before the song starts *tilts head to the left*. Dammit, its " ICE ICE ICE COLD COLD COLD, not YES YES YES NO NO NO. This is not the Zodiac's theme.

A dragon roar would be appropriate, though I'm having trouble imagining exactly how that would sound with ROTV.

Just steal Ricky Steamboat's opening.

A dragon roar would be appropriate, though I'm having trouble imagining exactly how that would sound with ROTV. I'm thinking roar, then fire pyro on the stage, then Valkyries.

Cannon fire. Have a huge explosion with pyro, and the sound of cannon fire right before Ride of the Valkyries kicks in

Have it start with Derrick Bateman yelling "SUBMISSION WRESTLING!", then Valkyries kicks in.

Before reading this thread, I had no idea that Bryan actually WANTED to use Valkyries. I was a little against it before because I felt like it was a ploy by the office to keep him from getting over, but if he wants it then I'm cool with it. He's over with me, that's for sure.

Plus, ice cold wouldn't make sense for a tag team called Harlem Heat, which is what it was originally for. Then again that was in WCW so...

They should give him "Gonna Fly Now" from Rocky. With a hip-hop drum beat behind it. And someone should say "TAP or SNAP...snap...snap" right before it starts, so that the synth-claps that start the beat happen with the echo of the word 'snap'.
The 0:58 mark of this video illustrates the concept but you have to imagine it with the original song's sample or some electric guitars and not a midi keyboard.

Create a metal version of the song that starts with a nice riff, then moves into the song.

One of my buddies back in the day thought they were saying "Kain Kain Kain...Kole Kole Kole" because the music was supposed to be used for the infamously racist ORIGINAL idea for Harlem Heat. *Shrugs* Maybe we need to take this to the Forum Hive Mind in the version of a poll? ;D

Form a tag team (do those still exist, or did Superboy Prime punch a time wall and erase them?) of Bryan and Tyler Reks and give them Run to the Hills. I don't know why, but it would amuse me.
