It's been hard not to notice, like a festering wound, how Trish seems to be getting worse in the ring. At the biggest stage of them all, she screws up the Stratusfaction sell and almost ruined the ending of the match.
And on last night's RAW, she completely misses her own special move: the Chick Kick (which is a weak move as it is). Not to meintion that the fight looked heavily editted.
Some may say that she is a good wrestler, and I'll agree that she's had her moments... But I think she needs to get more time off and improve her ring work. I mean when you have Candice having to throw herself around the ring because most of Trish's moves take the other person to do the whole move:
MaTrish: looks poor and slows down the flow of the match.
Whirly Bird: looks fake
Stratusfaction: the opponent throws themselves to the ground.
So I ask you, my fellow crappers, am I being overly judgemental or do I have some merit?

The whirly bird does look fake and dodgy. And she does seem to be slowly getting worse, but she cant really take time off to improve herself right now.

Maybe the whirly bird does look fake, but so do plenty of moves people mark out for. And Trish/Mickie (the Mania match) was pretty excellent, IMHO, and I think Trish recovered well from the botched finished, with a killer sell of the Mick Kick.
But yes, she seems seriously jaded... live, the Mickie/Trish confrontation was horrible (once they started brawling, anyway - the rest was still great).

The missed kick looked pretty intentional to me (as in Mickie was trying to avoid it), but not like I studied it or anything.
The WM thing, she was injured moments earlier, that doesn't look like an easy move to do/take with a busted up leg.
A lot of moves in wrestling don't make sense if you stop and think about them rationally, hell... the simplest of moves like an irish whip is incredibly unrealistic, technically.

I think it may also have to do with the lack of pure wrestling talent within the women's division. You have her, Mickie, Victoria, and then scrap (wrestling, not looks wise)
Yes, Melina and Jillian can wrestle, but for the most part they've been stuck as valets so there's only so much time they can use to hone their skills in front of a crowd.
Plus, their head trainer, Fit Finlay, is now on TV so he may not have the time to train them properly now that he's got his own repertoire to think about.
Finally, Trish has probably noticed how much Vince really cares about the division:
1) Good OVW female wrestlers = WWE Valets (for the most part) 2) Bra and Panty Matches getting more hype than legit women's matches 3) That horny old man who wears a crown (fire him already!!!) 4) The RAW Diva Search: Part 3
Yeah..not much motivation to improve your WRESTLING ability.
So while she could improve a bit, her feud with Mickie is as good as it's gonna get, IMO.

When you have a total of 5-6 possible opponents, half of them being totally newbies, it's pretty hard staying focused and crisp.
Add that Women's matches are little more than an excuse to show some skin, and voila... there goes the motivation.

Women are only useless in the WWE. Didn't say I believe that, but just telling you how it is. Sad really, some of these gals can wrestle circles around some male wrestlers.

They need to end this thing soon. It's starting to drag a little and before you know it fans will probably be chanting "boring" during the matches. I don't think she's really getting worse and at the risk of getting bashed Mickie hasn't exactly set the world on fire either in her matches so far. She's ok but not worth all the love and praise the net gives her anyways .

Was the ending of their match at WM22 botched? I thought Trish purposefully fell to sell her injury. That, or she really was injured and it caused her to fall, so Mickie just kicked her in the head.

Yeah supposedly that might have been a sell, however the match prior on a ppv they had she straight up dropped Mickie.

Told you, Trish is the female Cena. I think you are absolutely correct. Not just with her wrestling abilities, but with the fact that she's shoved down our throats. The difference between this and saying that she's the female HHH is that HHH uses politics to remain on top, while Cena, who is a nice guy at heart, remains on top because the WWE thinks it's the right thing to do. I think the Cena case definitely applies to Trish. Also, I think it may also have to do with the lack of pure wrestling talent within the women's division. You have her, Mickie, Victoria, and then scrap (wrestling, not looks wise) Yes, Melina and Jillian can wrestle, but for the most part they've been stuck as valets so there's only so much time they can use to hone their skills in front of a crowd. So while she could improve a bit, her feud with Mickie is as good as it's gonna get, IMO. I think the only reason the women's title still exists in spite of the increasing T&A content on Raw is so that the WWE can continue to promote Trish as the "greatest women's wrestler ever." You know, wwe.com has recently started a thorough restropective on her career, so that should tell you how much they care about her. That's also why I continue to think Mickie will not have much success after this feud ends, given the history of most of Trish's other opponents outside of feuding with Trish. It's for the same reason why I'm not going to start to explain how sorry I feel about Victoria. Supposedly, when Trish took time off last year, she wanted Vic to have the title, but the WWE wouldn't allow it. I don't know what else to say...

Thank you. It's about time someone said that. Trish is not getting worse, her opponents are. As hard as Trish worked to get as good as she is in the ring today, she's still only as good as her opponents. She can't carry someone the same way Chris Benoit or Bret Hart could.
Mickie is entertaining as old Victoria rehash...oops, I mean crazy obsessed fan...but she's the one botching spots. Maybe I'm blind, but at WM it looked to me like Mickie is the one who botched the Stratusfaction spot. And this Monday Mickie decides to just duck Trish's kick only to be kicked again?
And we say Trish is getting worse?

You're overexaggerating. Trish, in 2004-early '05, was on fire. Barely had a botch left in her and was carrying the division on workrate and character. She is working with a new opponent and getting her chemistry with her down to a "t". Not everyone has INSTANT chemisty like Rock and Austin or Flair and Sting. It just takes a couple of months. Trish is consistent for one who doesn't have a varied amount of opponents to work with. It is interesting how you bring up the missed kick though. Because there was another high profile star who missed a simple move last night and I was shaking my head the whole time. Cena does the impossible again and misses one of the only moves he uses these days: the clotheline. And HE'S THE WWE CHAMPION! Shelton Benjamin is carrying the midcard on his back and Mickie is on fire. But the WWE Champ is off key? Sad.

No. She's still one of the only female wrestler in the WWE that can come close to wrestling.
1) Victoria 2) Trish 3)....umm...Mickie James
and the rest are just there to wear bikinis and cut horrible friggin promos or watch horrible commentators get anally assaulted by oversized wrestlers.

The reason why Mickie James gets a free pass is because 95% of the posters here are teenage boys who like to...well....I'm not going to go any further, but you know where I'm going. That by itself shows how fans view the women's division.
Trish is the best women's wrestler on the roster, but she herself wrestles in a style that looks very forced and very fake. Even her matches with established females (Victoria, Molly, Jazz) don't look crisp at all. Trish and Lita seem to have good chemistry in the ring, but Lita can't go 3 moves without breaking some part of her anatomy.

I made similar points about Trish a few weeks back. I dont EINTIRLY blame Trish's decline on Trish herself though (aside from her, Mickie and the grossly mis-used Victoria; the womans division is total crap) Get some new (and talented) blood in the division to take some pressure off Trish.

Character wise Mickie is entertaining, but like I said earlier her matches aren't so hot. Trish looks better in her matches while at times Mickie looks lost and drags the matches down some. I don't know what she was like in TNA or anywhere else she wrestled, but so far her WWE matches have not been that great.
