Simple question; would WWE take him back in his current state and where would he fit into the card?
The only way I could see him ever back with WWE is as a guy who puts over up and coming guys. He's too much of a liability to trust with the top spots.

If they sent him to rehab and kept him under a watchful eye... Jeff could still be a huge success in WWE
Vince has given people so many chances, Jeff would be no different

If Jeff doesn't go to prison, I can see WWE taking him back and it would be the best thing that could possibly happen to Jeff. WWE knew that Jeff had a problem and that him being suspended would be bad for business. So they kept that shit on lockdown. They were testing him twice a week and he was doing the best stuff of his career.

He then screwed up again after he quietly left. I know WWE at heart wants to push him and he could really add to the dire main event right now. But yeah, as you said, he's too much of a liability.

If he can stay clean for good they would take him back in a heatbeat, but sadly we all know that ain't happening.

No, and they shouldn't. To me, Jeff Hardy is done. He's had chance after chance after chance and he f***s up every time. I hope for his sake he gets his shit together, but the best thing for him is to go find something else to do with his life because he seems to always slip up in a wrestling environment. I'm ready to toss Jeff into the same pile as Scott Hall and X-pac. They've had their chance, stop giving them more.
Also, I doubt Jeff would go back anyway since he left in the first place probably because of the drug testing.

My honest guess is yes, the WWE would take him back, but probably on the condition that he cleans up. As much as some of the internet fans hate it, the dude is crazy over and is capable of out popping anyone not named John Cena. Also considering he left without burning bridges (he waited until his contract was up and put over CM Punk on the way out), I don't think the management is holding a grudge against him either.

I think the real question is would he go back to WWE. It's not like he needs the money with all the merchandise that he and Matt sell on their own.
If things from last night go sour in TNA I wouldn't be surprised to see Matt and Jeff walk away and start their own group in North Carolina.
Say what you want about the Hardys but their online reality show and other stuff have been pretty successful.

I just wish he'd get some damn help. Watching him self-destruct reminds of why I quit watching wrestling for 6+ years.

Jeff Hardy. A slightly more successful Jake Roberts for our generation.

I don't think WWE should invest anymore time and money into Jeff. I think the ship has sailed and the guy had his chances. As I have said already today, its a shame what he has become because his fan following shows how much potential he has had.

He doesn't want to go back. He said 'never' after that whole thing with Punk bringing up the drugs or whatever happened in that promo. I have a bad memory.
