Who gets/got more heat? Wade Barrett while he was the leader of The Nexus or the WWE Champion The Miz
After tonight, I realized how much WWE dropped the ball with Wade Barrett. He was at one point, the hottest heel in the business. He was getting MEGA heat during his promos and he was getting MEGA heat while torturing Cena with The Nexus.
The Miz gets very good heat, but not anything crazy... and his beatdowns on Cena don't get that much heat.
If WWE didn't f*** up the Cena fired angle... and had it play out at this years Mania, I think Wade Barrett would be getting a reaction that rivaled that of Vickie Guerrero by now.

I agree with everything you've just said, OP.
As much as I love the Miz, the heat he's getting is pittance compared to the absolute and almost totally united loathing Barrett was getting when he was at his height.

Wade as Nexus leader had explosive heat. Much more than the Miz does even now.

Barrett managed to get everyone cheering John Cena, even the usual anti-Cena faction. We should all talk about him more.

At any one point, Barrett. Following his firing of Cena he was despised. He had a lot of down moments though. Miz has had more sustained heat though. Every single week he's booed and hated though it's only now getting to a main event level.

Barrett's heat, in my opinion, was based around the whole Nexus angle and less specifically him. He was put in a hot angle and was the leader of it, so he benefited greatly.
Miz probably doesn't get as much heat as Barrett, but he's more constant. Barrett has been very up-and-down and more way down ever since he moved to Smackdown. In a lot of ways, Cena made the heat the Nexus was getting.

Barrett had a large group doing his dirty work for him, attacking all the major baby faces of Raw, so of course he was getting some monster level heat. Compare his heat going into Summerslam to the amount he gets now over on Smackdown and you see a massive difference.

Miz. He's got some talent and is over and in a main angle. Barrett's a glorified midcarder on SD.
