Crappy announcer turned awesome heel? Just a thought...
Maybe Daniel Bryan will be the new Stone Cold...

I liked McMahons announcing.

McMahon was nowhere near as annoying. Cole's announcing is pretty much the reason why I gave up on watching Raw.

Nope. With Vince there was the threat level of him being 'THE BOSS'.
Cole doesn't have that.

McMahon never repeated himself ad nauseum, so no.

Plus as jacked up as Vince is/was, you could see him taking a decent ass-kicking, and dishing out some punishment too.
Cole has none of that.

He's more of a Bischoff.

Honestly, if anything I see him as a Jimmy Hart/Cornette.

That's an insult to Vince McMahon.
Hell, that's an insult to every McMahon.
Even Hornswoggle, for that brief period he was a McMahon!

For the sake of argument (and I agree that Cole doesn't have shit on Mr. McMahon as a character) the biggest thing Cole is missing is a foil. Lawler? Big deal. Vince's apex was his feud with Stone Cold which was lightning in a bottle, which allowed both men to build new feuds off of the other. Cole doesn't have anybody to play off of. He'd probably ruin it if he did have someone, but as of now he's just noise.

I don't want him to be the new McMahon. No one will ever play the devilish boss like Vince did.

I don't even ever want an evil boss again. That character has been dragged into the dirt so much over the last fifteen years it's ridiculous.

If they're intent on building Orton as the new Austin, then LOGICALLY he'd be the one to come after Cole, if they're putting Cole in an authority spot. But logic rarely makes an appearance in the WWE Universe. Far too often, it is not booked.
