When I see Ted DiBiase I think of The Marine 2. When I think of The Marine 2 I remember just how horrible of an actor Ted DiBiase was.
...
That's all I got.

But, I think a few years in the independents would do him good. Does Japan count as the independents? Because he did spend some time there. Did a variation of Dream Street called Dream Crusher, which I actually like better than Dream Street.

No clue why they changed it to the crap version he uses today.

I think the Million Dollar Dream should always be a submission, and the Dream Crusher puts an interesting twist on the version his dad did.

The Million Dollar Leg Sweep was his original finisher until they swapped it to dream street for some reason

they need to have his dad cut him off. That'd be money (heh) That's exactly what I was thinking. Let Daddy Warbucks come out and cut a promo: "I gave you everything, son: I bought you onto the Raw roster, paid Randy Orton to team up with you, paid Maryse to stay by your side ... and look what you've done with it. NOTHING. "So I am cutting you off. I am cutting your allowance. I am cutting you out of my will. I am doing this for your own good, because if you can't do it with my help then it's high time you figured out how to do it on your own." Then Ted's character should degenerate along the lines of Dan Akroyd in "Trading Places": shunned by everyone in the locker room, starts looking shabby and isn't taking care of himself. Losing to jobber after jobber ... then he starts getting mad and taking it out on the world. It's the only thing I can think of that could salvage his character.

I would really like to see Ted turn face and team with Daniel Bryan. They could shoot a backstage segment where they meet face to face and speak about how their careers have gotten off track, and mention their long series of matches and say that they've gained respect for each other through those battles. So, they decide to form a tag team and try to turn things around.
For a finish, he should use the Million Dollar Dream, wear his opponent down for a bit (or longer, it could vary), then BAM Russian Legsweep and a quick floatover for the pin, Brad Armstrong style. It would be a really dramatic move, because its got 2 stages and there's all kinds of counter possiblities, and if the guy kicks out the announcers could sell "if he had held the hold a little longer he could've won!"

How about they actual let him use his gimmick? I mean if someone started watching WWE 6 months ago, the only way they know Ted is rich is that his music starts off "I come from money..." During his Virgil/Search for new Virgil he was the highlight of Raw for me. Let him play the millionaire gimmick 100%

Del Rio's owning that rich guy gimmick. DiBiase has got to go a different direction.

Alberto Del Rio should buy him off and make him his Virgil. that would be cool as long as they eventually made DiBiase into a huge face.

All this crap about DiBiase (BLAND... BORING.. HE CAN'T WRESTLE.. NOT AS GOOD AS HIS DAD... ETC) was being said 12 months ago about Cody Rhodes. It's funny. I remember a lot of people here saying the exact opposite during his Legacy days - Cody is a pretty good talker, Cody is a better wrestler than Ted, Cody should be the breakout star, and so on. The worry was that Ted has "the look" and Cody doesn't.

All this crap about DiBiase (BLAND... BORING.. HE CAN'T WRESTLE.. NOT AS GOOD AS HIS DAD... ETC) was being said 12 months ago about Cody Rhodes. Give him a decent gimmick, and more importantly invest time and effort on his character and then we can decide. True enough. But did Cody come up with his gimmick o his own? Or did he just run with what he was given? It's kind of hard to be sure. Especially when Ted DiBiase was given star status and billing in The Marine 2 but still isn't a featured performer on RAW. Something tells me that the poor guy just might not have it.
