I like how Cena portrays it as elevating Punk to keep him happy. Every Cena feud ends with this: Could somebody enlighten me WHO Cena has made stronger in their career? Barrett and Sheamus for starter are two guys who looked a lot better feuding with Cena than they did when they moved on. And the "putting over" is just a wrong choice of words that seems to be getting the focus here.

Yeah, I was really disappointed when they threw away what seemed at the beginning would be a hot ppv feud on a series of meaningless TV matches between the two. I think it would be perfect, actually.

Wtf does Cena gain from beating Punk I think someone like DB who really needs something to get him off this meh slide of his. If Bryan were to get that badass aura about him he had in the Indy's and put him in an angle where he takes out Punk, I think he would be over as f***. But of course that's iff he leaves.

I like it. One last feud for Punk, for the WWE Title, I don't see anything wrong with that.

I think there's two definitions for "putting someone over".
One is putting them over and making them a bigger star, the other (as it's used in this story) is just a nicer sounding way to say "he jobbed to the other guy".

People are getting overly obsessed with wins and losses these days - Punk/Cena wouldn't be about elevating Cena obviously, it would be about putting on a solid feud and some solid matches, and it would be about burning out that particular ppv main event before burning out some other matchup you can do after Punk leaves.
Punk would very well just be angling for more money here. He rightfully sees the possibility, with guys like HHH and 'Taker leaving, of getting a raise.

Evan Bourne. Dead serious. Its time to give that little guy a push already. This, this, a thousand times this. Plus the two have great chemistry going back to their IWA MS days. Its idiotic to give Cena a rub, to say the least.

Yeah, like I said, the "Putting over" terminology used in the report just gives off something thats not the intent. Its more getting Punk a big storyline to go out on than putting someone over.

Is there a chance that WWE is going to give punk the title so he will stay?

these punk leaving stories are really grating. I legit dont believe for one second that he would leave, and if I were a gambling man I would put money on it. Literally all the evidence ive seen from any of them is that his contract ends soon. If anyone has any actual evidence of him planning on leaving, I would be very grateful to read it x Exactly. Every story so far has said that Punk hasn't indicated whether or not he will re-sign. He knows what he's doing. If he jumps the gun and screams GIMME ANOTHER 3 YEARS, he's going to get a contract. But if he makes the WWE sweat bullets, all the while driving the crowd and fanbase crazy like he is now, he can sweeten the deal for himself quite a bit. This is what I've been saying since the start of all the NEWZ about Punk leaving. He knows what he is doing. He's playing the business game. He wants WWE to sweeten a new contract for him by either giving him more money or a reduced schedule. It's all a work by Punk.

The only place for CM Punk to go is straight to the top. In my ideal world, he holds the title and they bring in a returning Rob Van Dam to work a program with him. Follow that with title defenses against Cody Rhodes, then Seamus. There, I've mapped out 2012 for you all.

Am I the only one thinking Punk is the kinda guy to feed all of this to the internet only to leverage himself into more money and a bigger push?

Cena/Punk Restarted
The mini feud restarted: Punk brings ups up he beat Cena 3 times ealier this year, Cena jokes, blah blah, GM grants Punk at Title shot a MITB.
The bulid: Now for the bulid Cena gets into Punk head asking doesn't really think he can beat him without Nexus help.
Punk who normally plays it cool snaps on the RAW before MITB and say I can and WILL beat you and I'm so positive about that I'll put my career on the line! **Pause** Punk realizes what he just said, tries to get out of it, but GM makes the match official.
Match: Great back and forth with both getting out of the other ones submissionm, both kick out of the finishers.
Finish of the match: After Punk hits the GTS Cena kicks out and Punk starts freaking out, lifts him up for another one only for Cena to get out of it and pin Punk with a small package.
After match: Punk can't believe it (cue up photoshop here) Punk refuses to leave the ring, RAW GM tells sercurity guards to come out, Punk still refuses Cena is recover by now and hits the AA sercurity pulls Punk out of the ring and carries him out ala Cena/Jericho '05

People are getting overly obsessed with wins and losses these days Why? The entire business is built on people paying to see their favourites prevail. If wins and losses don't matter then what's the point? I swear to god, it's impossible to just be a fan. And these "Stop nitpicking, just enjoy it, wait and see what happens" people who are just as much to blame for that.

Yeah, unless the guy in question is one of their favorites.
Anyway, Punk is arguably the best heel in WWE (McIntyre is giving him a run for his money in the ring), and definitely the best all-around performer in the company. That he isn't the top heel on one of WWE's two shows is pretty mind-boggling. He should take a break and put over either Bourne or Masters on his way out. WWE might finally realize what they had in him and bring him back in as Smackdown's top heel.

WWE put so much time into Punk. It's sad how he's part of a group of noobs. He's improved so much... oh well. If he does leave, he'll be the hottest free agent out there, and everyone would like to get their hands on him... everyone! He'll be treated like god everywhere else. It'll be good if he left. I give him two thumbs up if he does.
