On the WWE roster, among those who have been working regularly for a long period of time (not guys who we hardly ever see), who has been longest without a break due to injury, wellness violation or just given time off for whatever reason?
Seems like all the big dogs -- Trips, Cena, Orton, Taker, Edge, etc. -- have all been out for some period of time in recent memory.
I'm wondering if it's someone like Miz or Cody (or maybe they've been off sometime recently that I forgot).

It could very be well Miz since he hasn't had any Wellness issues or anything. I'm thinking 2006 or so with him.

Shawn Michaels. Up until he retired, he was wrestling pretty much from 2002-2010. Mind you, i know there was a couple months he was gone, but i still think he was around the longest.

I'm talking current roster, not of all time. I'm sure Flair probably has that, if you consider workrate. Also take into account that Shawn pretty much didn't do house shows for the last several years, and often didn't wrestle on Raw. There were stretches of months where his only extended (as in doing much more than tagging in for a quick SCM) time in the ring came once a month at PPVs.

There were actually a few times he was gone for a couple of months or more. For example, in 2004, he was gone a grand total of five months in the year. 2007 he was gone for 5 as well recovering from surgery. 2009 he had a long stretch (from WM 25 to early August) where he was AWOL. Cody I know was in WWE in 2007 around Bash time, but didn't really have a FT place on the roster until late-October of that year with DiBiase not too far behind. As I said, I think Miz has this because I don't remember the last time he WASN'T on television.

I know that Morrison failed wellness once for 30 days in 2007 but I dot think he has been injured at all since then.

Punk did take some time off -- may not have been long, but he went from active wrestler to announcer for a spell.
And Morrison's wellness violation certainly counts as a break.
Kane -- I can't say I remember the last time he wasn't part of the "active" active roster. That may be the winner.
I think his longevity without a break of any sort may play some part in Miz getting elevated over time.

Kane did take a break in 2004 in whole Kane vs Snitsky feud but I believe that was before Miz' debut.

zack ryder cant catch a break I think I said something about guys who actually wrestle on a regular basis. Whacky Zachy's had more weeks off than HHH since the start of 2010.

I would really imagine someone on the superstars regular roster, since they fly under the radar, so to speak.

Rhodes was out almost a month from a concussion after being punter=d by Orton at WM26, so he doesn't count.
