bulls***. That entire angle was based on him doing what he did to the TOP guy, which had never been done before on that level. Nexus' debut was based on that. It gave him a good platform to show off, but kids were crying when he beat Cena, because it was Cena who lost, not because it was Barrett who won. It was only logical that once he didn't get the top storyline, against the top face, he'd fall a bit. Maybe not to current levels, but him feuding with Kofi wouldn't be nearly as effective. And I'll say bulls*** in return. Cena's been beaten down and defeated before, and never got the universal reaction that he did when he was feuding with Wade. He's never been treated like he was against Nexus. No comebacks, just shutting up and doing what Wade told him to do. He was given tremendous stuff to do that he won't be doing in any other feud. And considering that was the only feud in which he was "top heel", I think the point is proven. MAYBE if we were talking about a guy who was a top heel for more than one storyline featuring the Uber face it'd be something. You're basing his whole "Most hated" thing on one feud.

Miz was beating the crap out of Cena for most of their feud, and he wasn't able to get the reaction that Barrett got, nor was he able to get the entire crowd cheering Cena. Just goes to show that they dropped the ball on both Barrett and Nexus.

He should've been the one to main event against Cena at Mania. They never kept up the momentum. He should've won the title the night after on RAW, and the fired John Cena (who should've returned at The Royal Rumble) and Wade Barrett could've had that huge money match for The WWE Championship at WrestleMania.
Cena could win, and then Miz could cash in at WrestleMania...
You could've made 2 guys in the process

And honestly I liked Miz's reign and think he was more ready than Wade is. I really don't think Wade was World Title ready. Especially not for a Wrestlemania.

Maybe it's because he's booked like a loser.
Every faction he's in has either failed or ran into major problems.
Oh, and he ran into SuperCena.

Barrett should have won the title at Survivor Series, then lost it at EC. Punk vs. Cena should have happened at Mania.

That "Free or Fired" thing did Wade in. That was the moment he was done. In hindsight, he REALLY should've won the belt that night. Cena should've swallowed his pride.

How is cashing in Money In The Bank at WrestleMania stupid? It's basically winning The WWE Championship at WRESTLE FRIKKEN MANIA! And cashing it in on The Number 1 Guy in the wrestling business, after the biggest match of the year! Judging by the heat Barrett got... it would've only made sense. He was the leader of number 1 stable on RAW, the number 1 heel in The WWE, got more heat than anybody in The WWE (except Vickie Guerrero) and got the number 1 guy in the company fired. Ready or not... don't pass by on that opportunity

They shouldn't have pushed him so fast. Nowhere to go but down. However, Wade has been around for barely a year. His career is hardly over. Yeah, that's the problem of giving someone a push before they are established. If Barrett won the world title early in his run, where does he go from there? One of the problems with the world title scene is besides the frequent title changes, it,s guys win the belt too soon.
