Yes, you could have had Undertaker and Shango and Von Erich v. Sid. In reality, Sid turned heel by not helping Hogan in their tag match on SNME. You would probably need to turn him in a way where Hogan is not involved. Yeah. There are plenty of ways to do that though. I would probably have to go back and watch some of my old tapes and then write a few scenarios before I got that specific... But yeah. Have Von Erich job to Sid in a match around 5-6 minutes and move Sid on to feud with Warrior or have Sid lose all flukey to Kerry once Warrior interferes somehow and then move them onto a feud. I think that'd be the way to go.

ok, decided to re-write Wrestlemania 9... which upon looking at the roster back in 1993... booking it in the first place probably wasn't that easy. But here's what I got:
Match for #1 Contender for Intercontinental Championship: Razor Ramon def. Tatanka *Could have been a very good match!*
Brutus Beefcake def. The Mountie *'twas The Mountie attacked The Barber!!! dun dun dunnnn*
Nasty Boys/Bushwackers def. The Headshrinkers/Beverly Brothers *Gets a few more on the card*
Giant Gonzalez def. Tito Santana *Feed the Giant and pay Tito*
WWF Tag Team Championship: Money Inc. def The Steiner Brothers *Same Ending as the MegaManiacs. The throwing $$$ spot was pretty good*
Doink def. Crush *Left exactly as is*
The Undertaker def. Papa Shango *3-0, hey we may be on to something here with this Undertaker...*
Bret Hart/Owen Hart def. Jerry Lawler/Lex Luger
Intercontinental Championship: Shawn Michaels def. Mr. Perfect *just moved the feud up a little bit*
WWF Championship: Hulk Hogan def. Yokozuna *Give it to Hulkster anyway and history plays out the same*

@the Possum... I think the real lesson of Mania X-8 was that NOTHING could follow Hogan-Rock and that it should be the last match. I guess you would have had RVD win the Rumble? Jericho v. RVD doesn't seem as big as Jericho v. Triple H, but if they had a great match then perhaps it would have meant a lot for their careers and we would have viewed them differently. Triple H would have been a babyface, so I guess I could see him and Austin reforming a team to face the Ousiders. That tag match would have felt more special than Austin-Hall one-on-one. Yeah, my logic behind the the Jericho/RVD main event was that if the match was fast paced, had some high spots, and there was a HUGE desire to see RVD to break through and win the belt, it could liven up the crowd again. I always thought it was weird that they didn't put Nash in a match on the show, and I thought the angle could be that they Outsiders tried to get their old buddy, Triple H, to join the nWo. He instead sided with another friend, Austin. The Two Man Power Trip had a little unfinished business, anyways.

WrestleMania 23
1. Money in the Bank - Mr. Kennedy defeats Kane, CM Punk, King Booker, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Finlay and Shelton Benjamin. (Match has same result as before but Kane and Shelton Benjamin replace Edge and Randy Orton.)
2. Carlito defeats Ric Flair (This feud is pushed forward in place of the Khali/Kane match. Carlito picks up the win with Flair winning the rematch.)
3. MVP defeats Chris Benoit. (MVP's reign starts two months earlier.)
4. The ECW Originals defeat The New Breed (As others have stated, this match gets the Extreme Rules stipulation. Originals get their WrestleMania moment.)
5. Edge defeats Randy Orton. (These two get a proper chance to showcase their talents. Edge wins so his undefeated streak stays in tact for match vs. Undertaker next WrestleMania.)
6. Bobby Lashley defeats Umaga. (Plays out exactly how it did at WrestleMania.)
7. Melina defeats Mickie James. (Keeps the Lumberjill stipulation but Mickie and Ashley swap roles.)
8. The Undertaker defeats Batista. (Goes down same way as before, only later in the card.)
9. John Cena defeats Shawn Michaels. (Main event stays the same.)

Slighty more controversial booking with this one as it gets rid of a WrestleMania moment and postpones a world title run.
WrestleMania XX
1. John Cena defeats The Big Show to win the United States Championship.
No problem with this match. Cena picks up his first championship in the company.
2. The Dudley Boyz defeat Ric Flair and Batista in a Tables match to win the World Tag Team Championships.
Flair and Batista retain over the Dudleys in a regular match at the Rumble. The feud ends at WrestleMania in a tables match with Bubba and D-Von regaining the gold.
3. Christian defeats Chris Jericho.
Match goes down same way as before with the Trish heel turn.
4. Randy Orton defeats Cactus Jack in a Hardcore match to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
Backlash match gets pushed forward one month with the same result.
5. Booker T defeats Kane and Rob Van Dam in a Triple Threat number one contender's match.
All these guys were on Raw at the time and I wasn't sure where else to put them. However, there is a twist which is explained later on. Would certainly be better than that Playboy filler.
6. Rey Mysterio defeats Ultimo Dragon to retain the Crusierweight Championship.
Rey retains over Chavo back at No Way Out and these two proceed to put on a great show, hopefully without Dragon slipping.
7. Eddie Guerrero defeats Kurt Angle in a number one contender's match.
Eddie's world title reign is pushed back but these two still proceed to wrestle each other.
8. Victoria defeats Molly Holly to retain the Women's Championship.
Same result as before with Victoria shaving Molly bald.
9. Chris Benoit defeats Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship.
I understand why this match didn't happen but at the time, it's what I thought WWE was going to build too. Chris still wins his first world title with Brock leaving WWE after the loss.
10. The Undertaker defeats Goldberg.
Goldberg never becomes world champion during his run with the company. However, he does remain undefeated up until this match which is build as The Streak vs. The Streak.
11. Shawn Michaels defeats Triple H to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
I never felt like Chris Benoit belonged in this match. I would have had Shawn finally defeat Hunter for the world title here, ending their feud until the Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood.
The WWE draft takes place the week after the event and in the twist I mentioned, Booker T and Eddier Guerrero swap brands. This leads to Michaels vs. Guerrero for the world title at Backlash and Benoit vs. Booker T for the WWE title at Judgment Day.
Eddie would have won one of the world titles later down the line but the WrestleMania XX ending between him and Benoit doesn't exist. However, given what later happened, that might have actually been for the best.

I was working on this last night and it was trickier than I thought. It's hard to erase those Mania memories that have been there for years, plus it's hard to remember who was on the roster each year.

It's hard to erase those Mania memories that have been there for years, plus it's hard to remember who was on the roster each year. I know exactly what you mean, but to help you out a little bit, there's a great website that lists wwf/wwe rosters by year and then by month. All I do is go to google and type in (ie.) WWF Roster 1995. Then it pops up. What's incredible is how many wrestlers are left off of the cards sometimes. But I agree this is a lot harder than it looks. Maybe the guys in creative deserve a little credit afterall.

Idk, that assumes you somehow got Sting in the company plus a Wrestlemania main event "no holds barred" that ends for....no reason? I like the rest quite a bit though.
