Truth as heel to me seems like WWE are trying way too hard to make him a bit edgy and they're failing big time because it comes across as seeming way too forced to me. I dunno, I liked one posters "crack addict" idea. I wonder if they could get that across while staying on TV.

He sounds insane, and I like it.
I've been diggin the hell outta Truth since his heel turn. For the first time since the early years in TNA

I like Truth but I'm not buying him as a heel. He was already over as a face despite jobbing a bunch, don't see why they switched him without trying a big facepush first.

I love the whole awkward half insane bit he's doing now. It's very entertaining.

It's different from the boring, vanilla WWE-style heels we've been getting for the last five years (which includes Randy Orton and Miz). So yeah, awkward is good.
I want to see R-Truth become champion and sell the spinner belt for crack money.

R-Truth's heel run could be good. I like the crack addict/R-Truth going off the rails idea but I think the WWE should really handle it a bit different than just having R-Truth spout jibberish, make racist comments and try too hard to be edgy and non-pg with his swearing, comments and smoking the fag over in England.
It's something which I think could have done with a slower build up imo with R-Truth's behaviour slowly changing over a period of weeks. As it is, it seems to have come out of nowhere which makes it seem kinda forced to me.

I don't care if he's heel or face. I'd be entertained either way.

For reasons over people have said, he is great because he reminds me of an angry drug addict on the side of the street yellling out anything at people.
People who dont agree are surely part of the conspiracy. C. O. N......SPIRACY!

I just heard the line "You kick my dog, and I'mma kick your cat" and completely died laughing. That was surreal.

You know, he COULD be inspired by "Crazy Charlie Sheen". When he's not showing up for work because he is partying with several divas at once, we'll know for sure

Only in the WWE could a character evolve from Evil Smoker to Racist Crackhead within a month.
...Or is this the WWE suggesting that Smoking is the first step to becoming addicted to crack?

I don't really think he's necessarily trying to be edgy, but he IS something different than what we normally get these days. Oh no, he sucks because he's not "preaching" the way Jake Roberts would! He sucks because he's 39 years old!
I love that he's completely unhinged, talking to kids that aren't actually there (Jimmy, Timmy, and Larry so far, just wait until he completely loses it and starts giving the hallucinated kids urban names like D'Marvin, LeCarl, etc...), using his wacky "ZOOKEEPAH"-esque sayings for EVIL~, picking up the Conspiracy flag that Chris Jericho left behind when he left WWE, etc...
He's not a badass, a pretty boy, or an evil genius, he's just a man who has lost his mind and doesn't give a flying f*** anymore.
And come on, who doesn't want to see him stick it to Rey-cist Mysterio (I will be so disappointed if Truth never calls him that)?

It just makes him come off as more screwy to me. I don't think his insults even makes sense to himself. BOTTLENOSE! yeah that's how i take it. it's all part of his new persona to me. the awkwardness seems to be in sync with his facial expressions and his insults, throw in him talking to himself now, i think the fact he's not smooth with his delivery and his comebacks is great. his interaction with the live crowd before Morrison attacked him on Raw was fantastic. i mean this week they "na na na na" 'd him as he was just walking up the ramp to the back.....last couple times they did it they were forced to by someone in the ring goading them into it...this time they are invested enough in his weirdness to do it themselves... i think it shows potential to connect with the audience as a heel like that. i hope they run with it. and that Rey doesn't win his umpteenth feud in a row.

Truth was never my thing. Never cared for him. But his dangerously insane schtick is borderline amazing. And if he keeps it up, we're going to have to induct him into the "Bob Backlund Surprisingly Effective Heel Hall of Fame".

Couldnt stand "Whats Up" Truth. This nutty Truth is the most interesting character in wrestling right now.

I love it. I don't see the awkwardness personally. He seems pissed, a little crazy, and just bitter as all get out. Maybe it is cause he isn't over the top shticky, cocky, or Y2J serious that makes him stand out to me. What sold me was his reactions to the "WHAT" chants in one of his initial heel promos. He is just so ANGRY and says stuff you'd get from a real angry jackass. I am so looking forward to his feud with Rey. It seems like their back and forth is pulling some personality out of Rey, which has been my major complaint about him for awhile.

He completely skipped "Badass" on the way to "Jackass". And that's part of why it's making for such an effective heel turn.

I'm completely surprised hispanic groups haven't called WWE yet on R-Truth calling ADR a "fence jumper".
That being said, I know the reactions from the crowd are weird because Truth's insulting both heels and faces, but at the same time, it's a fresh breath of air in promos. Definitely doesn't feel like a WWE script, and better yet, gives Truth more creativity in his own material.
