,,how do you think they'll handle it? From what i've heard, he is very protective about his character and pretty much has never broken kayfabe or given a shoot interview or anything like that. With that said, how do you induct him if he wants to keep the "mystique" of his character alive?

Have him come out as the American Badass, and give a speech that way. Hell, he's been referred to as Mark onscreen, so it shouldn't be that hard to find a way to finagle something.

I think he would attend the ceremony as Mark, then maybe at Wrestlemania he'll be in character for one final time.

I'm thinking something like this. His American Bad Ass persona would be inducted and would do all the press and whatnot (like his appearance at UFC), with the Deadman being treated as a separate character only existing in the WWE Universe.

He can give a speech and save kayfabe by inducting himself.
Think about it, the Undertaker, inducted by Mean Mark Callous. When it's time for 'Taker to appear, Mean Mark runs off stage, gets in costume, shuffles out, rolls his eyes and mumbles about staring into the eyes of the dragon, then leaves.

He'll come out as Mark Callaway and when he announces Taker, lights will go off. Once the lights are on again, he's un full Undertaker attire.
In other words, he'll induct himself.
EDIT: Damn you McCloud!

If he talked using the demeanor he was using recently in the Taker/HHH feud, I think he could give thanks and appreciation for the company without breaking character much...or at least without it coming off as being awkward.

He should be the only inductee in his year and the entire Hall of Fame ceremony should include special video packages dedicated to his greatest moments and speeches from special guests like Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kane, and Paul Bearer. In the end Taker can come out with trench coat and hat, but he slowly takes off his jacket and his hat in character with a traditional tuxedo underneath. He then speaks from the heart as Mark Calloway.

I hope Kane inducts him, but I think they might have HBK do it. Which would be kind of a shame, but oh well.

He has given shoot interviews, although as you can see here, he does seem very uncomfortable with it:

This topic makes me really want either a book or bio-doc dvd from him.

Taker has given interviews while attending UFC shows. So it's not like he's doing the kayfabe 24/7 thing.

He has given shoot interviews, although as you can see here, he does seem very uncomfortable with it: That was during his American Badass days so its not like he was in his full on Deadman persona. So while it was a shoot it wasn't like he went totally out of character as his character was a normal person sort of. Although as another poster has pointed out he has done some out of character interviews at MMA events recently so its not like he never ever goes out of character even as the Deadman.

I think he'd just come out as himself (ABA) and do the speech.
He goes to UFC stuff all the time as himself.
