It's weird.... on that Bragging Rights PPV both times Smackdown has won... and it seems like SD always wins the Battle Royal on draft shows. Is it to try to draw more viewers to the "B-show"?

They used to win at Survivor Series too. Orton won it for them and then Big Show betrayed Team Raw.
No idea why.

Smackdown is normally second rate in everything it does (in my opinion) so I suppose they have to do something to make it look good.

Raw has Bragging Rights the other 364 days a year.
But seriously, you hit it right on the head. It's to get viewers of Raw to tune into Smackdown.

SD! wins almost each and every time when there's one of these 'Raw vs SD' showdowns.
In its own way, it's kinda condescending I guess. But it's probably to thumb the nose too at the sheets that also each and every time predict Raw will crush SD because it's the 'A-show'.

Yeah, I think it's because they need interest in Smackdown. Raw will always be Raw, the flagship show. Smackdown is seen as the B-Show, so they have them win these things to try to squash that image.

RAW loses so much because it's the flagship show. The "B" show has to be pushed that much harder when they square off so people don't think it's a joke.

I think it's the absentee leadership on Raw. Say what you will about Teddy Long but he's dedicated and hands-on. Keeping his talent in line with threats of going one on one with the Undertaker, playa. I think that if Donald Trump is serious about running for president he will have a hard time defending his stewardship of the red brand. Such laissez faire management as the guest host system, allowing Legacy to run roughshod, and the humiliating defeat at Bragging Rights do not reflect well on his executive approach.

Makes sense to me, Raw usually has less (or just awful) wrestling while SD! has more and it tends to be better.
'course, SD! got Khali in the draft, so I'm not sure it'll maintain the same quality if they have to start giving him matches >.<.

SD typically has the superior mid card, and they're the ones who normally take part in these matches.

They do it year after year, and yet it doesn't make a difference to the general opinion of Smackdown, or it's ratings.
Yet the second Raw wins, everybody will complain how Smackdown was buried.

It also helps build up the younger guys on Smackdown - SD usually has less established stars, who can use the boost from being on the "winning" brand.
