I was looking through the WWE encyclopedia and noticed they had left some stuff out. They left out Nathan Jones and Rico. Has anybody else noticed things left out?

How did they leave out Rico? He won the tag belts with Rikishi and Haas and was part of a big TV stunt (in a way he was the star of that whole thing).

They left out plenty. You'll find a bio on Mr T but not Cyndi Lauper. You get a bio on Mike Adamle but not Sean Mooney. For the most part, the Encyclopedia is okay for general knowledge, but hardly comprehensive or the final word on any of those inside it.
Proportions are a bit off too when Shelton Benjamin gets a large bio and Randy Orton got a smaller one. There was no justification for that 2 years ago or at almost any point in their careers.
It's worth a purchase at around $15 bucks but certainly not $40 like they were asking when it first came out.

When does the Encyclopedia get updated for new Superstars? Kind off topic, but it seems like the place to ask it.

Someone got left out, but not Chris Benoit?

Someone got left out, but not Chris Benoit? Surprisingly, Chris Benoit got half of a page dedicated to him. That's a rather large bio for the book. The largest being two full pages and the smallest being about 1/8th of a page.

I think Kanyon was left out as well. I'd like to see a full list of people who got left out.

It should probably be noted that the WWE Encyclopedia went for style over substance. Meaning a normal encyclopedia would just carry entries over into the next page to fill in as many facts about the entry as possible. The WWE Encyclopedia tries to fit the wrestler entries into the two pages you opened the book to. Only the title histories seem to carry on over past two pages.
So if you're predetermined that certain entries must have two pages, you have to make everything else fit between those pages alphabetically. Whether that means editing down entries or just cutting entire entries.
For example, the United States championship was granted 2 and a half pages (because it's just a list of who held the title and no pictures) and a couple of pages further is the entry for Vincent J. McMahon. He was given almost 2 full pages. But that means whoever alphabetically falls between United States Championship and Vincent J. McMahon has to be made to fit. But you don't want to over inflate entries that don't deserve to be large if you can avoid it.
They have:
UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP The U.S. Express Vader Val Venis The Valiant Brothers Vengeance Verne Gagne Vickie Guerrero Victor Rivera Victoria VINCENT J. MCMAHON
They filled out the rest of the page that had the U.S. Championship with the U.S. Express entry which seems appropriately proportioned. The next page they gave Vader half of, then Venis 1/4th and the Valiant Brothers 1/4th. They then gave Vengeance an entire page. The next page is Verne Gagne, Vickie Guerrero, and Victor River. Then when you turn the page you get Victoria's entry in column form and then Vincent J. McMahons big entry.
Vic Grimes was cut. Was he necessary? No. His WWE career was weeks long. Sure WWE has Phantasio as an entry, but that's because it fit in the slot allocated. Could they have made Vic Grimes fit? Maybe. Perhaps they shouldn't have given Vengeance an entire page. But then Verne Gagne would have to share that page with it giving Vic Grimes 1/3rd of a page. That would be far too large for his WWE career and nobody else on that page could pick up the slack. I suppose maybe they could have given Vincent J. McMahon the entire two pages and pushed Victoria back to the page with Victor Rivera and Vickie Guerrero etc etc. It just gets complicated with the style over substance method and this could have been done a hundred times in this book but it would have shifted everything.
So Sean O'Haire, Chris Kanyon, Vic Grimes, and Marcus Bagwell got the axe amongst others. Announcers like Sean Mooney and Billy Red Lyons too. Some celebs likely didn't approve of their likeness being used in time or at all and thus you don't see entries for Donald Trump, Cyndi Lauper, Lawrence Taylor, Pete Rose, Bob Uecker, William Perry, Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, or Drew Carey. But you do see Mr T, Butterbean, and so on.
Of course they also have multiple entries for wrestlers. Big Daddy V, Mable, and Viscera have separate entries. So does King Curtis Iaukea and the Wizard. Same with Tony Atlas and Saba Simba. Probably could have saved some room unless they added some of that to fill in the pages to make it work.

The Miz does not have his own entry in the initial printing. He has an entry with John Morrison, but none of his own. Morrison on the other hand has his own entry, an entry with Miz, and the MNM entry. A person selling an autographed copy on eBay said the omission of Miz was corrected in later printings, as was the photo error with PJ Walker, which actually has a pic of TL Hopper (and no entry for Hopper himself). I posted about it on here, but nobody seemed to know if there indeed was a revised copy and I haven't been able to find the book in stores recently.

Proportions are a bit off too when Shelton Benjamin gets a large bio and Randy Orton got a smaller one. There was no justification for that 2 years ago or at almost any point in their careers. Yeah, I knew that was weird too on how they gave some smaller guys that got longer entries that bigger guy's entries.

I have the book and it's nice to own (was a Christmas present).
But it's not 100% perfect.

It's pretty handy if you make it out to conventions/autograph signings as well. I've managed to get a decent number of autographs in it.
