Dolph Ziggler: What was the point?

They repackage him and give him this new look and "new attitude" then they just job him to Orton in his second match with the new look in 3 minutes while getting a jobber entrance. Why would they go out of their way to repackage him if they were just going to job him out right away?

I've always been a Orton fan but I'm really getting tired of him. It's just ridiculous how strong he's been booked since turning face. It seems like everytime a heel gets momentum they just feed him to Orton for no reason. His current feud with Punk has been so weak and boring. Why are they even having a match on Sunday? Does every match on the post Wrestlemania ppv always have to be a rematch from Wrestlemania? Orton's already beat him clean twice and will most likely beat him again so why should I care? They should just move onto new feuds.

Well to be fair to the new look, Ziggler was losing to Orton before the change, so that's not at fault.

The "new" Ziggler is god-awful. It's like a reverse progression where someone normally comes in bland as cardboard, and then eventually grows into a character (say, like Cena).

In this case, the character becomes someone as bland as cardboard. Immediately.

Dolph Ziggler is like 'Sampson', he gets his power from his long hair (and blonde hair dye in his case) and is weakened once it's cut. So I guess that might make Vickie: Delilah?

The dude's one suit and tie away from SRS, which is a shame. On the other hand, it MIGHT get rid of Vickie if he dumps her for a more "serious" side.....I'm conflicted now.

Ziggler had his attempt and no one bought it. I was surprised how quiet Vicki was. Maybe her push is done as well. I think McMahon knows what he is doing and he offers the guys a package to sell. If they don't sell it, then they are just midcarders again. The history of the Fed is littered with these guys. Cole is the new waste of time and he'll soon be another Danny Davis. The Fed doesn't need two of 'em at once. If you can't sell TShirts and get heat, they have others in line willing to try.

These guys can't breathe unless creative writes they can breathe, so I dunno if I can buy your theory here. This was the idea of some rocket scientist. It's possible Ziggler is said rocket scientist, so I won't put it all on creative.

This has massive failure written all over it.

Ziggler looks like a blank slate straight out of FCW. Dude needs to modify his shorts or something, he looked generic as all hell tonight.

But yeah, it's kind of silly but I'm so used to this kind of booking that I don't even bat an eye at it anymore.

It's weird, all of a sudden I don't care about him anymore. I was a pretty big Dolph fan before this happened.

I generally don't take any stock in what they do on draft shows, it's always pointless stuff that doesn't advance stories,etc.

This is horrible. And Dolph was plenty over as he was. Albeit with Vickie's help. This new look is horrible. Worse of all I think it is their direction to make him look more like a main eventer. If you don't look like Orton than you're not welcome.

I'd be worried if I were Ziggler; with The Miz, Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk as the main heels on RAW (and that's without even mentioning R-Truth or Sheamus), where does this leave him? Apart from another fued with Daniel Bryan and the occasional Evan Bourne squash, I don't see too much good happening in his RAW future...
