How has no-one mentioned Jack Korpela, yet? He's like Todd Grisham, only whinier, and less fit to talk about wrestling. I can honestly say, having sat through King's old shtick getting old and Michael Cole overdoing being a heel, I've never wanted to fast-forward through a match more solely on the basis of who was commentating. He also seems to have mastered the McMahon-Dunn art of ignoring the action in the ring to talk about the main event. ON SUPERSTARS!!
I also feel I gotta ask: When the hell did Tazz start to suck? I loved him as a commentator for Smackdown and ECW in WWE, but in TNA he's just... bad. He has his times of greatness, don't get me wrong, and he's far from the worst WWE or TNA has had, but listening him devolve into a Jerry Lawler expy is really just... bad.

I like Scott Stanford and Todd Grisham. Michael Cole I can't stand. He is more annoying than anything.

Never cared for Michel Cole, he always seemed more of a fill-in role than an actual A-list commentator; waiting to hire the right guy to take his place and just never got around to doing it.
Todd Grisham is second. He's another guy that just seems to be a replacement because someone is sick or away for awhile.
I've always liked Josh Matthews. He and Booker make a nice team.
Going back further, I never cared for Jim Neidhart in the color commentator role. I understand they wanted somebody (not really doing much of anything) to give the wrestler's eye view of a match, but he was just terrible. He was too much of a cheerleader for "his guys" and exalted utter contempt for the other guys to be taken seriously.
And yeah Bruno was pretty bad also.

Can't stand Cole. Never exactly been a big fan of his, but now it's just ugh. I don't think I've ever had a commentator turn me off from a product like that since Tenay and West in TNA. Taz is pretty bad in TNA, too, but at least I can zone him out and Tenay just seems to work off him a lot better than West. It also helps that they don't repeat everything the wrestlers just said 10 seconds ago anymore. That was the epitome of irritating and insulting.
There's some really bad ones in WCW's history. Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden especially.

I quite liked Tony Schiovane for some reason.
THIS IS THE GREATEST NIGHT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR SPORT.

Favorites: J.R., Josh Mathews, and Scott Stanford.
Least Favorite: Michael Cole. He's like an even more annoying version of Mark Madden from late 2000s WCW. Add to the fact that he's become practically the sole focus of WWE's programming and it just becomes unbearably annoying.

Another one I dislike is Booker. He's awful. Can barely understand a word he says, he talks utter nonsense at times and he can never think of a decent comeback to any of Cole's comments. He had a really good one on Smackdown this week that made me laugh. It was something very simple, like "why don't we go get one o dem BAGS and put it on YO HEAD? (beat) whaddaya think about that cole?" The way he said it was amazing. I love Booker T on commentary, just because he's hard to understand and doesn't always make sense doesn't make him bad to me. I love his enthusiasm, and the tonal quality of his voice. His presence on the mic adds a lot to Smackdown.

Mark Madden, hands down. At least Cole doesn't spend the match making a bunch of insider references that you don't know or care about. And he doesn't seem to think of himself as being more than he is either. I would add Todd Pettingill too but I don't think he was a regular announcer. That guy came off as so condescending, as if he thought kids were idiots or something.

Lawler.
He sucks. Absolutely totally sucks. Does not bring one good thing to the table. Heel Lawler back in the day was great. Face Lawler is worthless. He's so bad I enjoy when Cole rips on him constantly, even to the detriment of the matches. That's how bad I've hated his character for the past 8 years or whatever.

Michael Cole is a human vuvuzela. I love Cole but that was well played. I'm actually surprised I never heard that before. A human vuvuzela....hahahahaha (I'm not being sarcastic, that was totally funny to me)

I'm in a minority but I've never liked the Vince McMahon-produced Jim Ross and his melodrama. When he was in Talent Relations he clearly had his favourites he put over on the mic like his life depended on it. Another irritant about him is that his obsession with college football goes completely over the head of anyone outside North America
The last time he was any good was with Jesse Ventura in WCW and when he was calling matches with Gordon Solie or Bob Caudle he was even better.
