...and is put into a feud with the current IC Champ. Will their history with Bryan getting the f*** beaten out of him and being left without a contract while his NXT brethren run roughshod over WWE be mentioned at all?

They'll mention some history over commentary but it wouldn't be the focal point of the feud. (And I don't think there would be a focal point. It would really just be a feud.)

Nah... that woudl be sensible.
Usually I'm against my favourites being drafted to the B-show but I think that since Smackdown is less focused on segments and more on wrestling (in general), and doesn't have a Cena/Orton quota to fulfil, he might be a good choice to go there and get a solid mid-card push. After jobbing out his last feud to Sheamus - seriously, why spend all that time getting him over against Miz to have him squashed - he needs to regain some momentum.

I HOPE HE GETS DRAFTED TO TNA, THEN HE WON'T BE ON MY DAMN TV ALL THE DAMN TIME.

You have a whole backstory between him and the IC champ, the face/heel dynamic, and two guys who have been part of some of the best matches of last year.
I see no reason why the WWE Creative would think a feud between them is a good idea.

If Daniel Bryan gets drafted to Smackdown, I'll have a reason to start watching Smackdown regularly. Maybe. I don't know. My favorite of all time's already on the show and I usually just watch his segments (on YouTube) and have done with it.

He needs to turn heel. This will give him a chance to establish a character without having to try and get cheered. Historically all top acts began their rise to the top as heels i.e. Cena Orton Hogan Rock HHH Undetaker Flair Angle Austin.

I could see them selectively referencing it, mentioning that they were both rookies on NXT1 and such, but with no mention of DBD's one day stint in Nexus.
I don't think it would ever be the focal point of a feud though.

Honestly, I'd have no problem with this. As long as he gets on TV every week, I'm for it.

I'm hoping against hope he get's drafted to Smackdown and they make it the "workrate" show like back in the Smackdown Six era, but given WWE writers track record on continuity, I doubt that feud would happen.

Barrett: Hey, sorry about the Nexus thing. Wanna join the Corre? Bryan: Are you vegan? Barrett: Get him.

Backstory does not equal entertaininess. That would also require video package time that isn't related to John Cena.

He'd look hysterical teaming with Big Show and Kane.
Although, I'm sure Kane will be drafted back to Raw again.

Keep in mind that his neither his NXT run nor his one-day stint in the Nexus ever happened, as far as the WWE is concerned. I'm willing to bet that if they were to feud, no mention of their past history would be made at all, similar to how they didn't reference HHH/Taker's first WM match.

It was actually referenced at Summerslam, and on a later RAW it was mentioned that Daniel Bryan cost team WWE the match at Summerslam. Nice going Cole.

I think Daniel Bryan (as well as John Morrison and Evan Bourne) would really shine on Smackdown. They would definately have a chance to show off their ability.
Come to think of it, that really wouldn't be a bad trio to go against the Corre at Survivor Series...

They've mention Bryan was in Nexus before so I could see it being brought up in a feud.

DBD would probably just have a one off match with Wade Barrett. Afterwards they would just go their separate ways
