All he had to do was knock on Pattersons door. Maybe he did, and even Patterson knew his career was going nowhere.

He didn't even come out about his orientation until after he left WWE, I thought? I'm fairly sure it was something that everybody knew anyway. He came out publicly in 2006, I think. I remember in 2005 that there were tons of rumors there was going to be a bisexual love triangle angle with OJ, Trinity, and any male wrestler willing to volunteer himself.

as far as i remember hearing, the reason Benoit got all those speedy wins was because there was supposed to have been some outrage among some fans because he beat Chris at the Great AMerican Bash and WWE tried to make up for it with all those squashes, which were, at least to me, flat-out hilarious. The bit where Benoit raced himself between submitting Orlando Jordan and making a cup of coffee was hilarious. I concur; and it actually showed Benoit with a bit of personality.

And given the way the exact same angle of sorts didn't get over at all in TNA (I'll concede they didn't do much beyond having him come out with two valets and kiss each and quickly forget all about it later) ; they made the right decision not to use that if such was the case.

He was green, certainly, but I didn't think he was a bad wrestler. He had potential back then. Too bad, he was as exciting as rusty nails. I've seen steakhouses in parts of India draw more people than Orlando Jordan could. He just didn't have the IT factor.

OJ lost because he just didn't work. He was not very interesting and his wrestling skill was not enough to cover for his boring nature.

The fact that he's bi has nothing to do with it.
He went to TNA and I saw him wrestle matches there as well. Once again the fact that he his bi has nothing to do with why he was jobbed out.
I hate that stupid of hair of his.

Wasn't there some stories about him getting a lot of heat in the locker room for taking his underaged lover on the road with him? Granted thats a little different from being fired over being gay, but this might be where the idea came from.

Granted thats a little different from being fired over being gay, but this might be where the idea came from. I think he was fired for wanting to bring him in as part of a storyline, which would've been to have a simultaneous boyfriend and girlfriend. WWE thought having a bisexual character was a little too taboo, axed, and then OJ was fired.

He had a crappy look, wasn't that good in the ring, had no gimmick to speak of other then being JBL's Virgil, and had no charisma.
