Now I know no one wants the streak broken (especially by Triple H) and HHH usually doesn't like to look weak, so if I booked it, I'd go with this for an ending:
HBK comes out with Triple H for the match. After a back and forth match, Triple H hits the Pedigree on Undertaker... Shawn, overcome with possible jealousy runs in, superkicking Triple H. Taker recovers, chokeslamming Michaels, then Tombstones Triple H. Steak is intact, both look strong, and they can have a rematch at the next PPV if Trips needs his loss back. The only problem is that it turns Shawn heel (sorta) right after his HoF induction, plus he's retired.

Hmm, only HBK has the power to turn The Game

They’ve mentioned HBK going soft, how HHH would do better as he’s remorseless and how the two of them made a pact to make sure that the other hung up their boots when they were no longer at the top of their game. Last year at WM Undertaker briefly showed mercy to Shawn and Kane made a point to say that was the first time his brother had shown weakness, as a result the big red machine used the opportunity to try and end ‘Taker’s career/life for good.
Therefore I think Hunter will show mercy to The Undertaker and Shawn will realise that’s it’s time to hit the sweet chin music on HHH.

Aside from HBK being directly involved in the finish, which I'm completely against, I like the basic concept of your idea. Here's how I'd like to see it play out: Go with the same basic story that you've outlined, hard fought, epic match but when it comes down to it Hunter shows just a hint of mercy, but really make sure you get the point across that this is the first time Hunter has ever shown any mercy. This directly leads to 'Taker getting the upper hand, hitting the Tombstone for a dramatic nearfall, as Taker sits up in the corner, himself possibly showing some mercy have HBK (who is sitting at ringside) looking just crushed, almost in tears look at 'Taker and just nod before walking away. 'Taker, knowing what's expected of him, scoops up Hunter and puts him away with another Tombstone. I think that would perfectly get across the story they're trying to tell with the "finish it for him" thing. HBK saw the weakness in Hunter, and knew it was time for him to walk away, which is why he chose to give 'Taker his blessing to finish Hunter rather then intervene on Hunter's behalf.

considering Triple H wants to do what Shawn couldn't imagine Shawn coming in and superkicking Taker and then Hunter attacking Shawn. Because if he pinned him after Shawn's interference then it wouldn't be his win.
Diesel coming in to do something might also be possible.
