Who else played the SNES Wrestling Games when they were a kid? My personal favorite was WWF Raw, but I also had Royal Rumble and Super Wrestlemania. I also rented WCW Superbrawl one weekend and it was terrible.
I recently recorded video reviews of RAW, Superbrawl, and Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium. I'm kind of hesitant on posting them because while I don't think my reviews were terrible, they weren't as funny as I was hoping and also weren't really great at the reviewing either. I'll upload them if anybody is interested at all though.

I only played Wrestlemania the Arcade Game, and I played the heck out of it. Only six available wrestlers, and I loved the noises they would make, especially when you would toss Bret Hart over the top rope. Auuuugh!

Royal Rumble and RAW got a lot of playtime in my household, and I rented Saturday Night Slam Masters a lot.
My Titanic Tim/Jumbo Flap Jack tandem was neigh invulnerable.

I only played Wrestlemania the Arcade Game, and I played the heck out of it. Only six available wrestlers, and I loved the noises they would make, especially when you would toss Bret Hart over the top rope. Auuuugh! Ah yea, I played that game a lot as well. I'm ashamed to admit that I also enjoyed In Your House for the Playstation. These days though, I really don't like either game. Wrestlemania had such a piss poor roster (even the Playstation version only had 8 wrestlers IIRC) and it's just too wacky for me. When I discovered Fire Pro X Premium, it really pissed me off at the lazy American developers. Super Wrestlemania had 10 wrestlers, Royal Rumble and Raw had 12. They all shared the exact same moves except for their finishers (and their crazy super finisher's or whatever in Raw). WCW Superbrawl also only had 12 wrestlers and they all shared the same moves besides their finishers. Also, there were only a handful of moves that you could do in the first place. Then you see Super Fire Pro X Premium. 150 + wrestlers. All with unique move sets. Virtually every move in pro wrestling at the time is in the game, including stuff like top rope tombstones and the shooting star press. It also had stuff like diving moves, front and back finishers, submissions, etc. And to top it all off it has a wrestler creation mode where you can even edit movesets and stuff. Can you imagine if we had gotten a WWF game that was half as good as Fire Pro back then? My childhood would have kicked ass!

I remember in Raw, R1 was a bitch to tap fast when you wanted to do a finisher.

I remember in Raw, R1 was a bitch to tap fast when you wanted to do a finisher. Imagine trying to do it on an emulator. I had the R button set as the R2 button on the PS3 controller. It was basically impossible to pull off a finisher on anything higher than 2 or 3 difficulty.

I recently downloaded Natsume Championship Wrestling on the Wii Virtual Console. Utter rubbish - not worth the points at all.

I had Rumble and Raw on my Super Nintendo back in the day. One thing that always pissed me off though was that the Mega Drive/Genesis rosters always seemd to be better. Rumble on the Sega had more characters, including Hogan. As a Hulkamaniac, this disappointed me greatly!

Royal Rumble ruled our household, along with the Saturday Night Slam Masters.
