Now, let me first start by saying i'm not a Sin Cara hater by any means, I find him pretty entertaining for a masked luchador (never been my thing, to be honest) and I don't think he's this mega botch machine.
So with that out of the way, last night I found it f***ing hilarious when Sin Cara came out to an extremely mild reaction and Cole randomly yelled "WHAT AN OVATION!". I hope someone else found this as hilarious as I did.

Cole says that all the time.
Announcer: "Coming down the aisle from San Juan, Puerto Rico Primoooo!"
Michael Cole: "What an ovation!"

It could be possible that what Cole was hearing was louder than what got on TV. Some arenas cause the reaction wrestlers get to sound very low. To use an example, I've read reviews saying the crowd at WM 27 was poor, yet I was there live and it sounded electric.

To use an example, I've read reviews saying the crowd at WM 27 was poor, yet I was there live and it sounded electric. I've usually heard it the other way around. Like in a dome, the sound tends to go straight up so the wrestlers in the ring think they're not getting a reaction but it sounds great on TV. I think it's likely that Cole was just exaggerating like they always do. That said, I didn't notice that Cara didn't get a pop. I DID notice that the crowd was really into the match though, and they popped for everything and counted with the pin falls. If Sin Cara and Evan Bourne aren't over, they are by the end of their matches almost every damn time.

Why do heels stop mid-promo to let the crowd chant? Because they hear the reaction they're getting. BOO YOURSELVES! Anyways, maybe both cases are true in certain arenas. I'm just using my theory for Cara's "ovation".

I thought he had a nice pop.
Besides, I'm sure anybody who has been to a live taping can agree with me that the arena is very loud, while on TV it sounds very quiet. Something is lost in their production with picking up crowd noise.

Evan Bourne got twice the pop he did (and deservedly so IMO).

Definitely true, IMO. Yes, i've been to a few tapings and it is definitely true however comparing Sin Cara's reaction to the one Evan Bourne got straight after, if Sin Cara got 'WHAT AN OVATION!' then Bourne surely should have got 'THIS PLACE IS GOING BANANAS!'
