I was watching SD, and I noticed that the refs at certain points were being mic'ed so we could hear them telling the wrestlers to back off or stop. Heard it with Armstrong, Nunzio, and Robinson. Yet they still won't refer to the refs by name. Anyone else pick up on this, has this been going on for a while?
Also, did anyone else find it odd that Nunzio seemed pretty dispassionate about telling Jinder Mahal that the match hadn't started yet?

They seem to be doing this in order to get over what's happening in the ring so it isn't left up to the imagination. Instead of using the announcers all the time, they've decided to start letting us hear it from the zebra's mouth.

It's not just the refs, everything that's been happening in the ring has been more audible lately. Case in point, the night R-Truth turned heel and Mark Henry last Monday. I think they have a mic near the ring now or something.

I've noticed that & I've noticed WWE is allowed to say "wrestling" again!

Are they wearing mics? It's so loud and distracting now. All I heard was Nunzio saying "Back off" about 10x.

Actually I seem to remember this exact thread being posted before today also.

I was laughing my ass off hearing poor Guido dejectedly say over and over "I...I didn't ring the bell. Come on man. Its not a match. Hey...I didn't ring the bell."

I was laughing my ass off hearing poor Guido dejectedly say over and over "I...I didn't ring the bell. Come on man. Its not a match. Hey...I didn't ring the bell." Especially when Cole said "The ref didn't ring the bell yet!" and then he goes "I didn't ring the bell yet!" immediately afterwards.
