Knowing the history of Orton and punts, it's safe to assume that Friday was the last we'll see of Sheamus for at least a month or two. If that's the case, what exactly should be done with him when he does return to TV?

If that's the case, what exactly should be done with him when he does return to TV? He destroys Randy Orton and puts him on the shelf for 6 months to a year... Then Christian turns face again, and Sheamus & Christian have a World Title feud ...I know, not gonna happen

I'm pretty sure Cena survived his punt at WM. Then again, that's Cena

He should wait patiently with his back against a white wall.
Waiting. Patiently.
Unnoticed.
Waiting. For Randy Orton to walk by.

I'd say off for only a few weeks, then try and have him come back as a face.

He will be there tonight to cost Orton the match. (What? You thought Christian could beat him clean?) Also, he will be in pajamas and with his head bandaged, as he escaped the hospital.

He'll be back pretty fast, Punk came back after 1 week in 2008 lol And John Cena got back up immediately after the match right after his punt at Hell in a Cell. He can't be compared to normal human standards to be fair though.

Another vote for a face turn, maybe a surprise entrant in one of the MitB matches.
Btw Cena survived a punt due to Randy’s leg not being 100%, not sure if that’s the one people are talking about or if there’s another one. Edit: Damn beaten to it.

He'll be in a strapless gown and as he turns to run after beating down Orton tonight we'll get a full view of the Celtic Ass.

I think Sheamus worked a few house shows this week.
They normally don't do that for punt victims do they?

They'll just have Darrin Young return to his old hair and grow a stache and claim to be Sheamus, saying Orton punted him so hard he inverted his color scheme.

Also Cena worked Orton's leg the whole match and Orton didn't have alot behind the kick /kayfabe Yeah, they played that up. Cena tried to weaken the leg for the STF, I guess, but Orton 's punt as basically at 50%. Enough to pin, not enough to impair.

Still doesn't explain the WM one. lol. Mason Ryan I think survived in reasonably short order too.

Still doesn't explain the WM one. If you're talking about XXIV, both Cena and Triple H were working on Orton's legs the entire match, to the point he could hardly stand.
