1- Why Tyson Kidd? 2- Why does he need a manager? 3- Why don't any of the managers actually do anything? I mean they pretty much just stand outside the ring and don't do anything. 4- Is this another WWE rib, setting up Tyson Kidd up for failure?

Pissing on the idea of managers, I guess. They don't like them, 'member?

Because he's a good talent but not quite worthy of a Raw/Smackdown push yet. It's just a storyline they're pushing on Superstars where he wants a manager to help him succeed. Although it's probably more of an exuse to have weird cameos. Because it's a lost art form, sadly. The only manager I saw do a good job was Michael Hayes, and he's from an era where managers did more than shout from the outside. I don't know about that, but I'd like to see him get a win eventually.

What Kid needs is a manager. You why I didn't get no title shot? Cause I didn't have a manager.

Decrease his value to zero, so when he is released soon, he has nothing on the indy scene.

I like Tyson Kidd's manager story.
Maybe next week, we'll see the return of Daivari, or we might get Estrada (The REAL Estrada, hat and cigar and everything, not the watered down version we saw a few weeks ago)
Kidd could easily be Vickie's next boyfriend on that glorious day that Dolph Ziggler turns face.
Or they could have Alex Riley come out with Kidd, metal briefcase and everything, only for A-Ry to basically "Austinize" Kidd by attacking him after the match
Or, maybe Kelly and Layla could reform Extreme Expose and grind on him when he makes his entrance.
Or even Zack Ryder could get some TV time by being Kidd's manager. Ryder grabs the stick and tells Kidd, "Take care. Spike...um....that."
The manager gimmick is actually a good way to eventually get Kidd on TV. Kidd could appear on both brands and get regular weekly TV time by being a supporting player in every feud on both brands, essentially being accompanied by other heel wrestlers as he has matches with the heel's enemies. He'd basically be jobbing on both RAW and Smackdown, but would still be getting more TV time than his peers.

Maybe they're testing the various talents with him as managers, in general?
...but then Vickie contradicts that.

This will be completely worth it if Brutus Beefcake comes out as his manager one week and cuts his Charlie Brown deal off.
