So, there's not been a singles PPV match between the two, but there have been multiple RAW main events with the two.
So what the record? Punk's got to have a pretty decent record against the guy all things considered. Not quite Sheamus good but good nontheless.

If getting more non-contests then wins is a good record than I agree.

There may be more no-contests than wins, but I don't think Cena has ever pinned Punk on TV.

He did in 2009.
But not since Punk was moved to RAW.

Punk is actually 4-0 against Cena. Which is better I think than whatever record Sheamus has.

Sheamus has the added bonus points of taking Cena's title TWICE with no repercussions.

If they wanted to. They could have Punk and Cena wrestle AGAIN next week in a non title match (we know Cena's gonna win at CP) and have Punk beat Cena clean with a surprise roll up in an ultra competitive match
From there, they could make an decent storyline where Punk just disbands The Nexus, because he doesn't really need them to win. Cena & Punk can then work a title program based around the fact that Punk is the one guy that has Super Cena's number

I think Punk is in line for the title shot at MITB. At least, pinning the champion means you usually get a shot down the line.
While Truth is in the MITB match, leading to the JOMO match at Summerslam.

Punk has been booked strong the last few weeks, either they're trying to get him to stay or they're giving him a decent run before jobbing him out the door.

It could be the Jericho treatment. He got a big Cena feud before he left the first time.

I read that they were the last two in the elimination chamber match for Raw at Elimination Chamber this year. Did that settle anything?

This whole feud I didn't quite understand why they never gave it a proper blowoff. So Punk decides to attack Cena out of nowhere a couple of times. He takes over Nexus only for them to still go after Cena. Initially, I thought that the match would have taken place at either Royal Rumble (Whether it was a singles match or in the Rumble itself). I am sure it would have happened at EC in an EC match.
I thought that this feud could not have had a more proper blowoff had it occurred at Wrestlemania, but noooooooo, we had to have CM Punk feud with Randy Orton, over something that happened 2.5 years prior, as well as Cena having a feud with Miz over the title. I thought that this could have been the first Wrestlemania with Cena in match that wasn't for a title. It would have been good to have Cena finally settle the score with Punk at Wrestlemania. He settled the score with Barrett at TLC. There should have been a proper blowoff at a PPV.

These 2 have to face off at Mania. You put that in Madison Square Garden and the crowd will be KILLER. The crowd was incredible last night.
