No dirt sheet bits here, but a little detective work makes this likely.
Comic-Con is in San Diego FYI.
And look who Tweeted what today
WWE.com is at Comic-Con as well so they have video cameras.....ruh roh.

Maybe Triple H will "resign" him.

Well, WWE can't tape it, he doesn't exist. So if they pull a "publicity stunt" they're going to be relying on other people to tape/report on it. Seems pretty goofy.

Just to have Punk there with the Championship asking stupid questions about the upcoming toy line would be hilarious.

That's supposedly one of the plans they've discussed. They'll have Punk going in various places (maybe even talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel) with the title belt, and rubbing it in WWE's face. People will hear about it on Twitter, Youtube, or TMZ. But it likely won't be mentioned on WWE tv. I think it's an interesting, if risky idea.

They should mention it on TV, but they should Handwave it by saying that CM Punk is paying the networks to advertise his exploits on RAW.

They should Ryder report all of it on his show. It would reach a reasonable audience and still not be seen as wwe doing something. Technically.

Just to have Punk there with the Championship asking stupid questions about the upcoming toy line would be hilarious. "I want to bring back the Babyface Annoucer Vince action figure!"

Just to have Punk there with the Championship asking stupid questions about the upcoming toy line would be hilarious. Punk: Hi. A question for Rey Mysterio. In episode 924 the referee clearly counts to three before John Cena gets his shoulder off the mat yet the match continues. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of fixed competition or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder. Rey: Uh, well... Triple H: I'll field this one. Let me ask you a question. Why would a man whose shirt says "Best in the World" spend all of his time watching a children's wrestling show?

We should be more interested in the fact Curry man is also at the comic con.Fired championship/WWE championship unification anyone?

It's a risk, because maybe nobody picks it up, but causing a fuss at Comic-con would be a decent way to get footage out there, at least on the internet. At any rate, it's more exposure, which WWE wants.

I would still like to see Punk show up at an ROH event with the belt. I don't care if he wrestles or not, but just making an appearance would add to the legitimacy of this whole thing. Still, I like the idea of the angle continuing outside of the WWE Universe.

Hogan is there as well. I fully expect Punk to post a photo with the Hulkster at some point.
