Would they be in better shape then they are right now? Especially with creating new stars? Say what you want about Russo.. He made the midcard mean something and gave everyone something to do. Unlike now where all the emphasis is on a handful of guys and screw everyone else creatively

Not really. Russo'd be beholden to Vince's whims just like all the other writers.

Cena would have turned no less than 6 times... during a single episode of RAW.

Cena would have turned no less than 6 times... during a single episode of RAW. So, what's Big Show's excuse?

Russo isn't bad when he isn't given full control of the product. 1998 and the good half of '99 were when he was lead writer, remember. He just goes crazy when given unchecked power, as you can see in WCW and TNA.

Not really. Russo'd be beholden to Vince's whims just like all the other writers. That's not a bad thing. That's...a good thing. However, I think the creative team and the structure of things is much larger than it was when Russo was a big part of the creative direction, so he probably couldn't make as much of a difference. I'd rather have him part of a larger creative team than being the head of it all though.

Vince Russo has been exposed so much that WWE would never give him too much creative power. Knowing this, Russo might be able to work as a member of creative. They can cherry-pick his best ideas and ignore everything else.

Honestly with Vince or someone else censoring his stuff as they do the current Creative team he really wouldn't make much of a difference whatsoever.
Now Russo without anyone holding him back... well it didn't work before, it hasn't worked recently, and it certainly won't work this time.

No and all you have to do is look at TNA's current product. Its a product that ranges from terrible to very average. They also are horrendous at creating new stars. Since very late 2006 TNA hasn't created new stars. They give guys like Pope, Wolfe, Jay Lethal, and Matt Morgan these little mini-pushes then after a month or two of actually pushing the guy they just drop them down the card or they stop appearing on the show for weeks.
Russo in 2011 sucks. His ideas are dated in the late 90's. He worked in the late 1990's because he brought a more modern approach to wrestling and he had McMahon to give him that old school insight that grounded his approach in reality.
When Russo is on his own he sucks there is no filter and he gets crazy throw in the fact that he books like its 1999 all the time. He failed in WCW he is failing in TNA and the guy has nothing to new to offer the wrestling industry.
If he was with WWE now he likely would be a member of creative and all he would be doing is offering up crazy ideas that no one would want to use.
