The current announcing situation is a common complaint of almost everyone. So, how do you think the announce teams should be set up right now?
I'd do:
RAW: Josh Matthews on PBP and Mick Foley on color. (He's free now, I think they could get him back.)
SmackDown: Scott Stanford and Matt Striker
I don't watch NXT and Superstars often enough to think of who to put there.
I'd put Michael Cole in a manager role, Jerry Lawler backstage as an agent or maybe also as an announcer, and Booker T. as a trainer and part time wrestler.
(On a side note, where the hell is Todd Grisham? I like him.)

I just want Matthews and Striker paired up together again on one of the main shows. Maybe with Kevin Nash as the third guy on the team.

RAW: Scott Stanford and JBL or William Regal.
Smackdown: Josh Matthews and Edge (I thought he was pretty good that one episode where he was behind the desk)

RAW: Scott Stanford and JBL Smackdown: Josh Matthews and Edge (I thought he was pretty good that one episode where he was behind the desk) Edge is a good call actually. I hadn't even thought of him.

I haven't gotten to hear Regal on commentary much but it seems more likely than JBL, who is pretty happy in retirement. Edge said he wanted to stay in retirement for a while too but I could see him back sooner than JBL.

If I had my way:
Raw: Joey Styles and Jim Ross
Smackdown: Edge and Foley

Of the people avaliable in the company, this is what I would do:
RAW: Jim Ross and Kevin Nash
SD: Joey Styles and Matt Striker
NXT: Josh Mathews and Scott Stanford
Then for Superstars, I'd have Josh Mathews and William Regal call the SD matches, and Jack Korpela & Scott Stanford do the Raw matches.
I would have Todd Grisham be the full time backstage interviewer for SmackDown, and Scott Stanford the full time backstage interviewer for Raw.
Once JR was ready to go on his own this time, I'd have Josh step into his spot.
Michael Cole is better off being a manager or in a role like Coachman was in late in his run (aka he's a better character then he is an announcer).
Booker T should be back in the ring honestly, and Jerry Lawler can f*** off for all I care.

My understanding is that JR isn't doing full-time announcing right now for health reasons. I can see him coming back for the big PPV's though.

Raw: Michael Cole and Josh Matthews
Say what you will about Cole, but when they're together they are pretty good.
Smackdown: Scott Standford, Matt Striker, and Nash

I think a team of Styles and Regal could work well - Regal doing the Heenan/Ventura role, Styles adopting a more JR role but with both throwing some classic play-by-play in as well.
Good shouts coming in the form of Edge and Nash though (obviously not together).

My ideal announcing situation?
Joey Styles flies solo on every show.
Problem solved.

JR and Scott Stanford on RAW. Josh Matthews, Kevin Nash, and me on Smackdown.
I'm going to school for broadcasting, I really wanna be at a WWE announce table.

Byron Saxton and Wade Barrett.
At the very least during AJ Lee's matches.
