He'd say to Cena, "Your old stuff was better."
It's weird, because a lot of the best young wrestlers are clearly huge hipsters in real life, and are clearly hipsters ABOUT wrestling... they love stuff like naming finishing moves. MCMG are the best example (Shelley is the uber-wrestling-hipster), but I'd say 75% of the indies applies, too. Bryan certainly does. I'd argue that The Rock was kind of a hipster.
I wish they'd go full-force, though, if for no other reason than to finally have a character with a finishing move called "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea," which would be MONEY.

Would he wrestle in skinny jeans, a fedora and fingerless gloves? If so, then yes it would work, as long as he got his ass kicked every week. I could see Brad Maddox down at FCW doing this character.

Now, had he said '75% of them in some way, shape, or form ape the ICP look...or are obvious ICP fans...' then he might have been onto something. Or maybe that's just the indy wrestling that works this area (and not indicative of the overall product)

Also, I would absolutely adore a riot grrrl woman wrestler. While I would personally love this, Riot Grrrl hasnt been important for almost 2 decades and thus would just lead to confusion within the fanbase x

I have never seen as much hipster bashing on a message board, as I have this one. Part of that is because everyone seems to define "hipster" in their own way. For example, is it based solely on fashion? Or is it the taste for the indie and obscure? If the latter, than most of this board are hipsters for wrestling.

He would have to have a manager who assigned each match with Dave Meltzer's "star" system.
Or just go ahead and hire Dave Meltzer.

He'd have an ironic mustache, Wayfarers, skinny jeans, a deep v-neck from American Apparel and a pair of beaten up Chucks. He'd be billed as being "Pitchfork-endorsed".

I honestly doubt Vince or most of the higher ups in WWE would be able to grasp what a hipster is. More likely, they'd get confused and think it's the same thing as a "hippie".
Hell, to be completely honest I'm not even sure if most of the WWE fanbase would get it.

I honestly doubt Vince or most of the higher ups in WWE would be able to grasp what a hipster is. More likely, they'd get confused and think it's the same thing as a "hippie". Then the wrestler himself would receive a script for hippie lines, despite being told to act like a hipster. Then he would be a hipster hippie. "Woah man...I don't like rainbows and eclipses. They totally sold out, they're everywhere. I like more indie natural phenomenon like the maelstrom and waterspouts."

None that sounds hipster-y at all. and I would argue that the 75% number is WAY off. 75% of Chikara. Better?

I'm really not sure what a hipster is. If it's a white person that doesn't own a TV and doesn't like most popular music, then I guess I am one, but I am not fashionable in the least.
EDIT: unless by being completely unfashionable I'd somehow be considered fashionable in some big city because what I'm doing is so ironic.
