Okay not that I have made many posts here but trust me I ain't usually one to get annoyed by what other people think but this is just getting on my nerves because people seem to be oblivious to the fact they are doing it.
Event: John Cena gets fired, against his will, due to The Nexus shows up the next week.
Reaction: His fired! Can't we have him off TV for at least a week? Preferably a month, sell your storylines WWE and not make then completely pointless.
Event: John Cena is set to be fired for losing to CM Punk but just before he does Vince gets fired.
Reaction: What why even add the stipulation, nobody believed he would get fired but, at least go through with it. This hasn't allowed the story to progress at all (Despite the fact Vince willing to fire Cena was a reason he was likely 'let go')
Event: CM Punk's contract 'runs out' and he willingly doesn't sign a contract cause he wants to leave WWE without it's title and he is sick of everyone in charge.
Reaction: I decided RAW was going to be rubbish the second I realised Punk was not going to show up they are obviously dropping this storyline dead in the water.
Now I know just cause I have seen posts with all these, paraphrased by me, reactions doesn't mean that it can't be two people with different opinions but since I have seen single posts with remarks regarding both the Cena and Punk situations I can't help but be annoyed.
Three things to consider for those that are complaining.
1. The frustration you are getting from not seeing Punk this week is a frustration that a larger portion of the audience would have had if Cena had actually left for a while when he was 'fired'.
2. Punk's return writes itself, the company wants him back, whilst if Cena had been went away when fired then nothing could've logically brought him back outside of provoking The Nexus.
3. Lastly...have patience this is a big storyline that has been causing a mainstream buzz so they haven't dropped it... I mean CM Punk is still walking about with a WWE title so he must be under some sort of contract. He will be back and we obviously haven't entered same ol' same ol' territory so give what's going to happen a chance.

Thing is punk is being booked as this anti hero type who if he came back the next week just to gloat it would be easily explainable.

Possibly but would he be coming back under contract then, as a free agent, breaking in? I mean he has Del Rio and I'd imagine Cena both wanting to go for him straight a way. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining I'd love people to tell me their reason for having this opinion.

I agree. People here shit all over themselves for the fact that Cena's been fired yet shows up anyway and they get pissed but when Punks contract runs out he doesnt show up because he's not "contractually" obligated, its dropping the ball on a good storyline for not showing up for the fact that he doesnt need to show up on show that he doesnt work for anymore?

Yeah, but, Punk is selling the storyline. He didn't show up on RAW in any capacity.
It was Punk's choice to leave, therefore we want him on TV because he wasn't forced out. Cena was forced out in the Nexus storyline, fair and square (at least with the Vince angle you could use his senile mind as an excuse for Cena not to be fired), yet, he appeared anyways on the same night, not selling the angle.
Do you get it now?

I don't remember ever making comments that they are dropping any balls, and am quite frankly offended by being grouped together with ball droppers.

To be fair, with cena's case is different, he was rightfully fired but the whole idea was that he was screwed and humilliated by barrett so he just wanted to appear every night to stick it to them, even you can think that the WWE was in favor of this since the nexus wanted to destroy the company, so they let him do whatever he wanted.
It was stupid the farewall speech and how he destroyed later nexus, but him reappering made sense to me
At least I had see the complaints that the OP has made.

How would that gloating be better than him randomly tweeting pictures of the belt all over Chicago? I'm hopin we get a picture of the belt eating sushi in Tokyo. A pictures worth a thousand words, that's gloating.

I think WWE has dug themselves a big hole in reference to Cena. I think both Cena and WWE would both love to give him some time off to rest and heal a bit, but they aren't afforded that luxury since they have pushed him so much and others so little that there is no one that can fill that void for them. Then the office panics when Cena is not on RAW and the ratings dip.
I remember when I was a kid, and I was a big WWF Hulk Hogan fan. However, when he left, I still liked a lot of the guys because WWE made me care about them. Maybe it wasn't a whole lot of guys, but when you had HBK, Bret Hart, Razor, Diesel, and a choice other few, these were guys that could at least collectively make up for the absence of a megastar and perhaps later grow themselves into big stars.
Right now, as much as some guys got some great pushes, no one has gotten a sustained push (aside from maybe Orton) to make up for the loss of Cena, even for a few weeks.
I was a little annoyed at the Cena showing up right away after the Nexus firing, but I understand that WWE feels it is a necessity. However, eventually WWE's hand is going to be forced in this regard. Cena's neck might progress into "Edge" territory, Orton might have an injury that keeps him out a extended length of time. Who do they turn to? They can't show Cena and Orton vignettes for two hours. They need to have backup plans, and by that, I mean, at least a subtle effort to keep a group of guys (both heels and faces) as legitimate threats. Even the guys that a year ago were threats (Miz, Barrett, Sheamus, Morrison) are in various states of limbo. This is the problem to me.
