Does anyone think that the MITB match should come back to Wrestlemania? After watching the ladder matches Sunday night, it seems that pretty much every one of them is always ***+.
This year's Mania could have used one, since it was somewhat lackluster IMO. If one was added, it would have boosted the card, and give a few more wrestlers a paycheck and spotlight.
A compromise to keeping the MITB PPV could be that the match is for a championship match at Summerslam, or valid until the end of the year.

My opinion at the time was that there should only be one Money in the Bank in a year and that it should be at Mania. Since WWE seems committed to Money in the Bank as a PPV, then they should not also have a MITB match at Mania.
MITB has arguably been WWE's best PPV for the best two years. I think they should consider having one MITB match at this PPV and allowing 4 superstar from each brand competing in the match and the winner may chose which title to challenge for. This would keep the match from being watered down and from having two people having the briefcase. I think it would mean more if there were only one MITB winner each year and it would be more unpredictable if they could choose which title to fight for.

They could easily liven up Mania with something other than the MITB.
A full blown six/eight man tornado tag, a scramble match for the US or IC titles, some extreme rules elimination match possibly involving weapons.
Just get creative and you can easily keep a ladder match off the card.

I like MITB as a PPV concept. Notice that the Smackdown match this year was twice the length of ANY Wrestlemania Money in the Bank match. They get more time, over 40 minutes of MITB instead of 15 minutes as part of an always stacked Wrestlemania card. As well as that, twice as many people get the opportunity and twice as many people get a match on PPV.
Neither adding to that with another match or replacing it with one at WM would be good imo.

MITB at WM fun while it lasted. For better or worse depending on your opinion MITB is now a franchise PPV. Having the match at WM would water down the concept. There are enough creative minds (wrestlers not writers) that can come up with some other novel multi man concept to get alot of wreslers involved in the card and have an excuse for a 15 minute spotfest. Until that gets it's own PPV and we do this all over again.

God, yes. 27 had so many cluttered up, pointless matches and so many guys left off the card without it, and it's a great way to get the crowd going.

It doesn't make sense, if they have it as a standalone PPV. As others have stated there's other creative matches that can fill up a Mania card & please the fans.

I don't think they should do another MITB ladder match as long as they are doing 2 on another PPV but, doing a scramble, hardcore battle royal or something like that to take the place of MITB would be nice.

Nope. No need to water down the concept.
If you're trying to sell another PPV on a match type, don't use it the rest of the year. Plus 3 briefcase winners is overkill.

If they need to keep the MITB concept around it should be on its own PPV so theoretically a match with build and purpose can be on the WM card(not that this is something WWE practices regularly with their midcard).
The benefit of MITB being at Wrestlemania was it was limited to one interbrand match a year. I like it better on its own PPV but they should still just be having one interbrand match a year, it's a bit out of hand now.

No, but I do think you do need a gimmick/plunder match at Mania. With 10 matches normally on the card in such a long event, you need something different to either curtain jerk or wake the crowd up. This was pne of my problems with last years Mania IMO, they need to replace MITB with something at Mania.

No. What they need to come up with is some sort of match with the lower card guys where the winner will begin his ascent up the card. Something fast paced and similar to the Cruiserweight open, but obviously allowing for heavyweights.

No, because the Money in the Bank PPV's have been awesome. The card is always stacked for this PPV, and WM is always stacked without the MITB anyway.

It has grown beyond WrestleMania, IMO.

It has grown beyond WrestleMania, IMO. Yes it has. It's one of the B show ppvs that actually will be good.

Keep it as is, but make it so the winners of the Smackdown and Raw matches can cash the contract in on either brand.

It's becoming a franchise of its own. And MITB matches are usually longer in its own PPV compared to WM ones.

I hate the MitB PPV format. It should go back to being an annual crossbranded feature at Wrestlemania. I think it was better off being showcased yearly at the biggest stage of them all, and I don't like the idea of two winners per year either.

No. Now that MITB has its own PPV, they should fill the void with title matches.
