And there is also the possibility that The People's Champion makes an appearance to remind Vince of the Maina main event for next year. That's what I was thinking. I know he said he wasn't coming back til probably Survivor Series...but surely he almost needs to show up now. Yep, I was thinking the exact same thing.

I'm thinking he's getting the time off to heal. It's the only reason I thought Punk had a chance last night. I imagine Punk is going to be sticking around and it wouldn't surprise me if HHH makes a return to fill the void Cena's leaving. Triple H isn't going to be filling in anything. Too old and too big of a risk of taking a career-ending injury.

To be fair Vince only said if he lost he'd become a large, orange thing that burns people.
Listen.

I'd like to see him take a month off to rest. It'd also make sense to have the "doofus son in law" challenge Punk in the interim.
Summerslam is a big show to not have Cena on it though.

I hope it leads to Juan Cena, because obviously fake identities being used to hide a performer that has been fired or banned from competing are always funny.

Can't wait to see Cena no-sell getting fired again. Maybe this time since Cena has a buddy Vince will fire Ryder instead. Cena will proceed to shrug and move on.

Actually, didn't Vince say "if Punk leaves Chicago as champion, Cena's fired? Doesn't Punk live in Chicago? As long as Punk just goes home, and doesn't leave town Cena's fine, right? I want Cena to bring that up to Vince and then they both get interrupted by Punk on the Titantron with the WWE Title in his hands as he walks using very exaggerated strides past a sign that reads "Now Leaving Chicago, Please Visit Us Again Soon!"

Cena's twitter just said that he's been 'future endevoured'

JohnCena I have just been 'future endeavored'. Well..if that's how it is I would like to take a moment to publicly apologize to Dwayne 'the Rock' ...Johnson. In an effort to make WM28 as big as possible I tried to expose rock for his flaws. Very childish and immature on my behalf. My comments about the rocks absence were both unprofessional and childish. I am sorry. Rock, I truly wish and still hope in my heart of ..Hearts that the crazy old man who is the boss reconsiders his totally rash decision. Because chicago was insane last night...And it made me think.of what Miami could have been. I guess sometimes u do not know what u have until it is lost.

JohnCena CeNation. I very rarely ask u for anything but I am down to my last chance. If u could tweet WWE to let them know not to fire me...I would be indebted to u all. Im not saying its gonna work but sometimes they can not ignore the universe

I think Punk will give Cena a rematch at Summerslam out of gratitude for Cena not going through with the screwjob last night.
