So there's a significant amount of (completely understandable) cautious pessimism about this coming Sunday's Punk-Cena match. Given how often over the past decade the WWE has dropped the ball, I really can't blame anyone for feeling this way.
However, as an optimistic idealist, I have faith in a great payoff and I want to boost morale by listing recent feuds that, up until the end, were executed perfectly. Let's consider 2005-to-now as recent.
Jericho - Michaels (summer 2008)
Punk - Hardy (summer 2009)

For a one month thing Cena/Truth was spot on.

Both HBK/Taker Wrestlemania feuds were perfectly done all the way through.

For a one month thing Cena/Truth was spot on. I came in to post this. For what it was designed to be, it was a perfectly well told story.

Christian/Del Rio
I seem to be in the minority, but I've been loving the Orton/Christian one, but, as you can tell from the sig, I'm a fan of both of them.

Undertaker vs. Triple H.
2 great segments (2/21/11 and the epic in-ring promo with HBK the Raw before WM) and an awesome match. Then HHH's promo the night after WM saying he knows Taker will be back and when he is he'll be waiting.
They barely interacted but when they did it was great stuff.

Miz/Riley's actually doing a service to a younger talent because *shock beyond shock* having a fresh talent look badass and beat a more experienced, more well known performer... actually gets the former over.
Who woulda thunk it?

Jericho - Michaels (summer 2008) Punk - Hardy (summer 2009) Those were the last two. I honestly can't think of any way that either could have been improved upon.

Personally?
The Nexus from the initial Nvasion all the way to Cena beating Barrett.
I know people bitch about the SummerSlam match, but them losing made perfect sense to me. They were rookies. ROOKIES. They shouldn't be able to defeat the FACE of the WWE.
Also i enjoyed Cena's fired. It was fun to me.
A part of me does wish they'd have kept it going till WrestleMania, but looking back, I think it was handled perfectly.

I know people bitch about the SummerSlam match, but them losing made perfect sense to me. They were rookies. ROOKIES. They shouldn't be able to defeat the FACE of the WWE. The problem most people had was more due to the fact that this militant unit who had complete unity, focus and drive lost to a squabbling group of guys who couldn't get along and suffered from constant in-fighting amongst a lot of them. If you wanted to make a really great storyline out of that scenario. You have the squabbliung group lose the first time and then work through their problems to become a stronger and more effective unit while the other group begins to crack in their foundations. Then you have the big win for the good guys. They just skipped through all that "story stuff" and went straight to the finish.
