Or at least Smackdown certainly does. I've not been able to watch the weekly shows for a good decade but they've staretd showing Smackdown on Sky One again occasionally and I swear to God the exact same thing happens every week. They're expecting us to get excited about Sheamus wrestling Randy Orton every week.
I mean I'm not faulting the booking per se, it's that there's nothing for anyone to do. Everyone is busy, no-one is left to just move between matches and wrestle for the sake of having a good match (that can then get interrupted to put an angle forward or something).

By all means blame the booking. Because even when the roster swelled to over 100 wrestlers in 06, the main events were usually repeated ad naseum

There is no reason why guys like Tyson Kidd and Yoshi Tatsu should be off of one of the two major shows for months at a time unless there's some sort of injury angle - kinda like Yoshi is supposedly selling right now after being assaulted by Jinder Mahal and Great Khali.
Put more than 10 seconds thought into the Divas and tag divisions.
Bring back scrub wrestlers. I mean real scrubs, not Zack Ryder and Trent Barretta losing because you can't think of anything better for them to do. NXT guys would work here. Make them work their way up. The Jim Cornette saying "Doesn't matter how much weight you can lift, barbells don't hit back" kinda fits here. I don't care about punching power, or balancing ability or whatever they do on the NXT show, can you get in the ring and put on a good show?
The champions should not be wrestling every week unless the guys are facing scrub wrestlers. Champions facing "stars" should be saved for arena shows (to get used to working together), then the PPV (to make the money), then free TV (for the blow-off).
Stables should be a collection of guys to be afraid of, not a bunch of wimps and whiners who don't work well together and threaten to break up every 50 seconds. (The Ruthless Roundtable - now THAT was a group to fear!)
These guys writing the shows suck. They should sign THESE guys to downside guarantees. If they can crack a certain high-mark rating, they get a bonus. If that don't work, get Lawler back there and show them how it's done.

I've read Michael Hayes isn't the head booker any more, it's supposed to be Ed Koskey (sp?) now
nevertheless, the SD bookers/writers need to be put in their places, it's been pretty terrible lately...Cody got no direction, Orton/Christian/Sheamus feud is as bland/unoriginal as it gets, Ezekiel & Jinder getting generic monster push #1804123, Barrett and Slaybriel are basically jobbers, Sin Cara & Bryan STILL have no storyline going on, Tyson, Barretta & Yoshi are hardly even appearing on SD any more, Kane is staletastic as ever, divas division is a joke in itself
only good things going are Mark Henry (of course feuding with a RAW guy) and The Usos (of course no real feud going on, just wrestling 29 matches in a row against Slaybriel)
better writers, we need better writers for Pete's sake!!

They don't really need more wrestlers, they just need to start properly using the ones they already have.

I checked the roster page on wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raw_roster#Raw_brandand yeah, there are too many jobbers, enough midcarders (could be more though), non-existant tag team division, not enough female workers, not enough main eventers we need a few more guys coming up the ranks...midcarders to main eventers (Ziggler, Barrett, Kofi?), jobbers to midcarders (McIntyre, Masters, Ryder?), more tag teams (Major Broskis, KOW, Rollins/Steamboat, Percy/Darren Young, Evan/Rey), more female workers (Aksana, Naomi)

Agree with all the above. Does anyone know why they don't do this?

They have enough wrestlers, they just don't want to use them.

I'd rather they had fewer wrestlers, personally. Or at least that they didn't have Jackson, Mahal or Khali.
They could build a really good cruiserweight/high flying division with Sin Cara, Yoshi Tatsu, Tyson Kidd, Daniel Bryan, Trent Barretta, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater. Lots of talent there, it's not being used that well. If I were the booker, I would bring back the Cruiserweight belt, and set up a tournament to run over six weeks or so. That would give all of those guys something to do, without even needing to come up with feuds.
I've been really enjoying A.J Lee's matches, recently. I just wish they'd give her opponents other than Tamina, and give them more than two minutes.
Plus, instead of having the Usos vs Slaybriel every week, throwing in another couple of tag teams could make things much more interesting.

They have enough wrestlers. They just choose to not use all of them.
