BIG CHANGE TO SMACKDOWN BRAND by Dave Scherer @ 8:46 AM on 7/10/2011
Former WWE creative team member Court Bauer wrote on his Twitter account @courtbauer yesterday that Ed Koskey has been promoted to the head writer of Smackdown. It is a job that Michael Hayes handled in the past, though Hayes was more of an idea guy that went over the shows with his team and then had them write them.
Hayes will be more involved in management functions for WWE.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope this improves SmackDown, as Koskey can get most of his stuff on screen without Hayes rejecting things out of hand.

Scherer's a little late. Wasn't this revealed weeks ago? I'm sure I've known that Koskey was the head writer on NXT and was promoted, which is why Curits, AJ and Kaitlyn have been getting so much TV time.

"Big change to Smackdown brand"? Nope. Advertising the main event in advance, and having the pool of wrestlers for that main event being larger than 4. THAT would be a big change
