With regards to Edge/Undertaker, you have to look at two things:
1. Undertaker's character has been built so grand in kayfabe that whenever he loses, it's a very big deal... even if the heel needs cronies to get the job done. 2. Edge played the role of cowardly heel to a hilt. That's why he got involved with Vickie Guerrero and formed "La Familia". Besides, most heels generally have cannon fodder to help get the job done.
I know Christian had Tyson Tomko around in both his late WWE run and TNA days, but considering how bad Tomko was when they wanted to bring him back, I doubt they'll do it.
Besides, as rnrk said... which is a more preferable moment in the fued: Edge pushing the Undertaker off a ladder and getting him temporarily "out" of the WWE while winning the belt, or Christian winning same belt by having his balls kicked?

Could Edge be Christians Croney? Would he be cleared to distract and run in and hit someone with a chair/spear without getting touched himself? If so, that could work.

Seems a little too risky for me. Plus, I have to imagine having in his corner a tragically retired face that toward the end the crowd just plain refused to boo would make Christian's troubles getting heat even worse.

All you lot saying this feud has been terrible WTF, this feud has produced the best series of matches I have seen in a LONG time. I don't care what you all think, this feud has MADE Christian a main eventer in the eyes of casuals.

So I fail to see how you came to that conclusion. What, did you take a straw poll of the audience?

Well he lost a lot of matches. He's a heel . What did you expect - beating Orton clean as a whistle on fifty per cent of the occasions they met? Orton was an 8 time champion. The feud played out just fine. THe matches were competitive as hell. Christian has been getting clean wins over just about everyone below him on the roster during the feud too.

Yeah, matches were that competitive that you have Orton bragging about badly he beat Christian and moaning about having to face him again. They were that competitive that Christian was only able to beat Orton by getting kicked in the balls. The casual audience, especially the younger fans, don't give a damn about how competitive matches are. They mainly judge based on wins and losses.

Yeah? Who gives a f*** what they think? It was not a one-sided feud. You are acting like we got something akin to Undertaker vs DDP. Christian was made to look like a legit threat every time he stepped in the ring with the champ and Orton won by dubious means in some of those matches too. Christian looked strong in the Summerslam match - it made sense that after losing such a brutal match after a game effort that he might miss the Smackdown shows merely a few days afterwards.
Orton should, however, have sold his injuries from that match a little more, but that's merely a nuance. I think you and others ought to reserve judgement on this feud until Christian gets his inevitable rematch.
