Edge/Undertaker's 2008 feud. 1. Wrestlemania 24 Undertaker defeats Edge 2. Backlash 2008 Undertaker defeats Edge 3. Judgment Day 2008 Undertaker defeats Edge 4. ONS 2008 Edge defeats Undertaker in a TLC match due to his entire stable interfering, basically making it a 5 on 1 TLC match 5. Summerslam 2008 Undertaker defeats Edge, sends him to hell
Orton/Christian's 2011 feud. 1. Smackdown Orton defeats Christian 2. Over the Limit Orton defeats Christian 3. Capitol Punishment Orton defeats Christian 4. MITB Christian defeats Orton by DQ, wins title 5. Summerslam Orton defeats Christian
Both had 5 matches. Both lost 4 of them, and won the other very dubiously. So, was Edge right? Was he just more stylish, and thats why he didn't looked BERRIES like Christian apparently does. Or was Edge just a more despicable heel to root against and not care if Undertaker beat him again?
Getting sent to hell > RKO on steps?

He definitely did it in style. Christian hides behind a lawyer. While new, and imo, kind of interesting, that's really wussy, even in WWE heel terms.

"I did it with STYLE........by getting Vickie Guerrero and Bam Neely to interfere in my matches."
Edge was established as a Main Eventer by then, whereas Christian was getting his first taste of the Main Event. Edge was being a typical face hypocrite; not that there's anything wrong with that, as wrestling relies on hypocrisy.

Christian should have an onscreen lawyer to act as a manager of sorts.

Edge pushed Undertaker off a ladder and through three tables.
Christian got kicked in the balls.
Which sounds more stylish to you?

Edge at least looked like he had a shot against the Undertaker. Orton pretty much beat the hell outta Christian every time out; and Christian's one victory was a result of Orton going too far and getting DQ'ed before beating the hell out of him some more.

Christian's lawyers are even more amazing than Orton's tights. Just how on earth did they get that disqualification contract?

Christian really did come out of this feud looking like a chump.

Edge looked like he had a shot? Really? He needed interference every time. Hell, he had interference and lost. Christian was always step for step there until the out of nowhere RKO. Thats how the first 3 matches played out.

But even so, Edge still had, I don't know the appearance that he could hang with the Undertaker and was primarily resorting to his cronies helping him because he was a weaselly heel. With Christian, and maybe it's a function of his character whining so much rather than the in-match stuff early on, it just seemed like they went outta their way to show that he wasn't really in Orton's league.

Yeah, every non-monster heel worth a damn in the WWE has stooges. They're built in excuses for the face to lose. Christian needs to get an army of them.

Heath Slater needs to be a Lackey for Christian. Maybe Tyson Kidd. But Mostly Slater. That guy was made to run in and take Main event finishers.

On top of that, there's the fact that the Undertaker is, well, THE UNDERTAKER and has been built up as so impressive in kayfabe that it feels like a huge acomplishment for anyone to put one over on him, even through cheating. Orton may be one of the top stars on the current roster, but he's not an apocalyptic force of nature, he's just an asshole with no pants.

THIS Even Triple H had lackeys to interfere for him, and that was during the "Reign of Terror." It almost builds sympathy for Christian. You feel bad for him getting his ass beat because he's trying to do it himself (at least they tried to correct that at SS, but still did it in a way that makes you feel bad for Christian). Seriously, it's just an awfully booked heel run. All you gotta do is throw someone through a flat-screen and get yourself some goons and no one will have any pity on you.

Really, I think they should just get the re-match over with, have Orton punt Christian into oblivion to put him out for about a month, then when he comes back just have him say he learned the error of his ways. Then pretend the whole thing never happened, since this feud has been horrendous.

Then pretend the whole thing never happened, since this feud has been horrendous. Let Mark Henry hit the World's Strongest Slam on him after Christian loses to Orton next week, so that when he comes back, he can have a ready-made feud with a heel (which he'll lose, of course, to build up Henry for his inevitable string of rematches with Orton) and slip back easily into playing Orton's sidekick.

Losing to Orton these days is like losing to HHH. You'd think losing to a strongly booked face like Orton a few times would be fine (ditto HHH in the past), but for some reason it just saps all the push out of the person...or feels like it anyway, even if they end up doing something later.
Losses to Taker don't seem to really hurt anything. I wouldn't say they help, but you can lose matches to Taker in a row then go right on with your heat intact.
