So yeah, on that Wrestlemania special on NBC, Undertaker came out to ET by Katy Perry instead of the Johnny Cash....
...and it was the most hilarious thing I've seen this year on WWE television.
*GONG* "Kiss me..k-k-kiss me..."
Bless whoever thought of that and managed to actually get the okay.

They paid for a Katy Perry song, but didn't bother with Johnny Cash? I don't get that.

I heard about it and I can't even laugh. I'm just so confused as to who thought that was a good idea.

I caught the end of the special, right as the wrestlers were calling that match the best of the night. I wish I would have turned the show on five minutes prior so I could have seen this.

At Taker's last wrestlemania I want them to play a rib on him and have his theme suddenly be the Barbie Girl song. Meanwhile Taker has to act serious and slowly walk up to the ring while the full song plays.

You assume Undertaker wouldn't just turn around and beat the living crap out of the production guy until he got his music back on.

I was half paying attention to it when it happened. I figured they were too cheap to get Johnny Cash, but then when Katy Perry started playing, I was really too shocked to have a reaction. Then again, I'm burned out from a long day. But I think I was mostly shocked, with slight hints of both disgust and giddiness from the pure ridiculousness of it all.

Shockingly someone made a photo tribute for Taker's match with HHH using this song 3 months ago on youtube, maybe they got the idea from there... Yeah, saw that looking around myself. Though I also saw this song used for tributes to DX and Barrett, so...

Would Katy Perry be any cheaper though? Did they still play Triple H's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" intro 'cause I'd suspect that the be the most expensive get of them all. I'm so confused. I think someone just thought it would be funny. I can't imagine them doing this thinking this was a great idea.

If so, that's even worse.

They couldn't think of calling Mark Collie to use "In Time"? At least that would have made a little more sense with Taker.
