I almost forgot about this dumb piece of news from last year when people thought Wade Barrett was gonna be off tv for months and ruin the Nexus angle but it turned out to just be a week.

It could have been a lot longer, lucky they got that sorted out but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Not as bad as Angelina Love mind you...

So can we also laugh at all the ridiculous Melina and (even though I do not like him) Triple H newz stories as well, or are they still gospel?

I thought it was the final piece of the Nexus Curse jigsaw.
Sheffield, Young (I think), Tarver were all injured, Bryan was fired and Barrett was to be deported.

Actually I think the timeline was Nexus attacks on Monday, Bryan is fired on Friday, they appeared minus Bryan on the next Monday, then the next day Wade was sent back to England, and the next Monday they said he had gone to WWE Headquarters to discuss their actions with management. I remember how freaked out this board got when right after the meltdown after Bryan's firing, that Wade was deported, but it only lasted a few days. It was a month or so later before Sheffield and Tarver were injured.

Wasn't McIntyre gone for like a month? Or did I imagine that...I don't remember much involving Drew.

It feels like Barrett's been deported to commentary-land. *sniff sniff* [/fangirling]

Wasn't it because the INS people responsible for the work visas were backed up pretty bad? Can't remember for sure, but I think that's what it was about. I know the Angelina Love situation was because TNA tried to use her WWE work visa. That's just full of fail.

I don't think it was Newz at all, just a crappy situation. I think Drew and Wade legit commented on their situations.

You're right, this board was almost on meltdown mode that week.

Didn't they actually make it into a storyline that Drew got deported? Or am I making shit up again?

They weren't deported, their visas/work permits expired. It could have been a lot longer, lucky they got that sorted out but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Basically, you only can't renew a US work permit when until it's expiring (like in the last week or two), and you can't be in the US while it's being renewed. Wade's was a straight forward renewal, so was always going to just take a few days. Drew's was a little different, because he'd just married Tiffany, and that would have complicated matters. There was no way round it, and the WWE clearly handled the situation correctly.
