Last night watching NXT, AJ and Hornswoggle were guest commentators for the main event, and while AJ was basically "translating" for Hornswoggle, I realized that she has a good voice for doing commentary. I don't think that's what she wants to do, but I think she could be good at it since she knows WWE history and has enthusiasm.
But I just can't see Vince wanting to have a female commentator, especially since they barely even let the females wrestle for more than 3 minutes. I know they had Mike McGuirk in the 80's doing some commentary, but the way that ended (sexual harassment allegations) probably put the kibosh on female commentators.
Do you think we'll ever see another female commentator?

Lita was on Heat or Velocity for a bit. I could see Beth doing well with it too, as she's shown range with her work with Santino and has a pretty decent voice.

I can't see any of the current ones getting the role. Maybe Sunny, if she has stayed in shape.

Not as long as King's still in the booth. Come on! King would be more than happy to have a female co-worker.

Mike McGuirk wasn't one of the best commentators I've ever heard, but she certainly wasn't the worst, especially compared to some of the others the WWF used around that time.
I think it would work, but just like their male counterparts, I'd want any new commentator to be leaps and bounds better than Cole and King.

That's all we need. Another person for Cole to shout down and belittle.

Yeah, she'd just get mocked mercilessly by Cole, and probably not be allowed to offer any rejoinders. Plus, since when has knowledge of the business been any sort of priority for WWE announcers?
But, anyone would be better than Cole and Lawler.

If she could string five words together that were actually about the match going on in front of her, she'd be better than that pair.

They had Natalya go down to FCW to do commentary one week, which I thought was a bit odd. She has a decent voice but some of her color stuff was a bit corny/strained. With time I think she could be quite good.

It doesn't matter who's doing commentary
Cole wouldn't let them get a word in anyway

that would be like having a female referee. It will never happen in WWE. At least not for years and years. and I"m talking like a hundred years here.
