Now as we all know, the tag team scene has been a joke for years. But watching Magillitunda tonight gave me some (premature) hope that Triple H will start building the tag team scene up again. I could live in fantasyland, but I'd love to see a tag scene like the WWE had in the late 1980's.

They should've brought back Trevor Murdoch and teamed him up with JTG. Given their past history, they'd make the perfect Odd Couple tag team as they go for the gold.

Otunga & McGillicutty seemed like a random pairing when they started as a team. But they've developed into a decent tag team. They actually do double team moves, & seem comfortable in their roles. They could be a lot worse off in the WWE. Instead, they're the tag champs. Not a bad spot for two "rookies."
People will always complain that Nexus didn't go out with a bang. But, Nexus wasn't a failure either. At the time the group disbanded, they held the World & Tag belts. Not too shabby.
I hope we see some new consistency in the tag division. Otunga & McGillicutty would be doing nothing of relevance as singles. They should try to ride the "Team" card as long as possible.

Good idea, but if history repeated itself like it does with most teams, we'd have a dumb Murdoch heel turn and both guys would get endeavored.

I wouldn't be surprised if a random team like Mysterio/Morrison or R-Truth/Miz wins it from them. I guess that way they might have a tag match at Summerslam...

I breathed a sigh of relief when Nexus (It's still Nexus to me dammit) won. Ryder should've been walking down that ramp with his real tag team partner Hawkins, not in a thrown together team with Santino.

They realy need to team up Yoshi and Bourne up in a team called Air Tokyo.
They should also put Ryder and Hawkins back together this time as a face team.
