The business is a much safer place now, but let's hope he doesn't fall victim to the same vices as his father.

The "I Can't Believe it's Pro Wrestling" school? Gator must've buttered a few people up to get him in there.

Oh, the I Believe (When I Fall Off A 20-Foot Ladder It Will Be Painful, Much Like Everything Else) In Wrestling school? Can't believe Stevie Wonder invested in that.

Blah. I'm sick of the sons of famous wrestlers trying to get into the biz. I like it when Hulk Hogan and Road Warrior Animal's kids take different paths from their dads. WWE will probably give this kid a look at some point even if he sucks.

I know the apple doesnt fall far from the tree but considering what the buiness does to you its still surprising to see all these kids of wrestlers wanting to get into the business. Maybe to most people its not surprising but to me it is. Is it easier for them to "make it" because they have a "name" yeah but the business itself is on the way down in terms of popularity from when their fathers were in it.
What if Cody Hall didnt inherit his dad's charisma. Does he still think he's gonna be anything or what? Are Mike Rotundo and Curt Henning's kids even doing anything in WWE or are they still in FCW?

Hennig's kid is one half of the current tag champs.

Well that makes sense since the state of tag team wrestling today is pretty sad.

I'm sure we'll hear more outrage from Dana Hall regarding this development...

It shouldn't be surprising that a wrestler's kids are likely to go into the business. Back in the kayfabe era, that was one of the very few ways to break into it. "Protecting the business" meant not revealing it to anyone you didn't have to, and since family was likely to be in the know, they were the most logical choices to be let in. Since most of the guys who now have kids of that age were trained in the kayfabe era, I'm sure some of that mindset still exists.
For example, my father was a jobber in the Memphis promotion for a number of years, and I was approached multiple times about getting in the business. I actually trained for a week or so, and decided I didn't want to be in pain for the rest of my life and quit. And, fortunately, my dad was smart enough NOT to encourage me to continue.
It is very easy for a naive 18-19-20 year old to fall into the trap of wanting to please your father by going into the business. I'n surprised more haven't. Bret Hart's kids, for example. or Terry and Dory Funk's kids and now grandkids.

And I remember Bret saying he didn't want his kids to enter the business anyway. Can't really say I blame him.

Got to give Bret credit for that one. It's a tough business for anybody, even with a famous father.

I would honestly expect Hall's kid to look to sidestep any potential hazard of the business that he can, given that he has THE cautionary tale of how the wrestling industry can screw up someone's life as a father. As long as he makes better choices than his dad, and if he's got even half of the ability, he'll be fine.
