I know Vince didn't announce KOTR 94 because of his "neck surgery", but I also remember reading some wheres that he wasn't even at the arena that day. I'm guessing his trial had something to do with that. Does anyone know if in fact Vince wasn't present that night. If so did his absence from events last longer than that one night. Finally, who was running the company during this time? I'm guessing they either had plans laid out ahead of time or Vince was communicating with them through other means.

The trial started after Wrestlemania 10 and went to mid-July so yeah he was busy. Linda was officially made CEO before the trial started and was technically in charge, but she was with Vince a lot during the trial so power had to be delegated to the other board members. It'd be an interesting mailbag question for Meltzer.

From what I've understood, during that time, Vince would leave things in the hands of a Pat Patterson, or Gorilla Monsoon, someone like that, that he trusted.

I read that if Vince were to be found guilty and sent to prison, Jerry Jarrett would've took over the company

Looking back, it does seem so Bobby Heenan for Vince to be on trial, then have an injury so he comes into court with a neck brace every day.

He actually brought in Jerry Jarrett because he felt Jarrett would be the person who, at the very least, wouldn't bankrupt the company. I'm surprised he didn't turn to Monsoon. Patterson had just been through the scandals a couple of years before, himself, so I don't know if Vince would've trusted him with it. He did have options though. With Jarrett, Monsoon and JJ Dillon still there too...
