I remember seeing this story and I think they were suppose to build on who was the photographer that screwed Hogan.
But then he left and plans were scrapped, but was there any idea who it was suppose to be before the storyline got canned?

No, it was Whippleman. After dropping the title to Yoko, Hogan was supposed to work a program with Giant Gonzales.

I also vaguely remember a young Glen Jacobs being a camera plant.
That's right, Isaac Yankem did photography in that match.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated told me it was Marty Jannetty when I was a kid... and I stand by that.
They never actually explained it being Whippleman from what I remember... was just an overzealous cameraman all over the weekend shows and even in the WWF Magazine.

If it was Jannety, and then he becomes heel, does that mean we get a Rockers reunion? A heel version even?

I would have wondered how the match would have went Badly. No I mean storyline wise. Hogan had never faced a giant or insurmountable odds. Such a new fresh idea

Such a new fresh idea *Cue Botchamania "huh?"* Hasn't Maffew already did WrestleMania 3 and all the botches like the slam attempt where Andre fell on Hogan and making fun of Hogan's face when breathing? And for the record I was being sarcastic in my previous post

Apparently at a TV taping a day or two after the KOTR Hogan and Beefcake had a tag team lumberjack match againist Money Inc. and following the match Hogan and Giant Gonzales had a staredown, don't know if this match was ever intended to see the light of day but interesting, alsoI recently saw on the Wrestlemania Story DVD during the WM 9 segment it shows Gonzalas and Hogan interacting, so I think it would've made sense for the photographer to be Harvey Wippleman
