So long as they don't remove Striperella from their list of available shows to download on the 360, I'm okay with this. No way I'd buy it, but I like to know it's there.

Auction Hunters has antiques? Not too dissimilar to TNA then. I laughed.

These morons are so stupid. If they feel like there's a limit to their market share it's not because they marketed their product only to men, it's because their content sucks! I wish there was a real good quality network for men. Stop only re-playing Star Wars marathon and give us the Third Man, Point Blank, The Magnificent Seven and Bullit. "The rights to those movies cost a lot of money and several first born males,we are getting are god dammed moneys worth out of them!"

I'll say this............unless Spike TV does buy TNA, it really doesnt matter one iota because Spike has shown to have no balls when confronting TNA and with TNA still being like their most watched show, they will not poke the bear. Ummmm.... A network cancelling their highest rated show, which happens to be wrestling, due to rebranding.... officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wba2008&action=display&thread=143074&page=1

This sounds like a job for NO MA'AM. "Equip them to be better men"? Seriously, who cut his balls off and put them in a jar that he'd go out there and say that. I will not like this be no sold. Great Al Bundy/Married With Children reference my friend. ;D Thanks. That guy totally reminds me of Jerry Springer's Masculine Feminist character.

Why don't executives realize that its 2011 and we have alot of very niche stations/choices/whatever. You don't have to try and get everyone these days, and probably shouldn't attempt it...

I don't think Spike TV will cancel Impact Wrestling even if they think it goes against their branding. Its a network that needs all the ratings they could get.

Let's face it they've re-branded so many times because they never had a clear idea what they were about. Sort of like TNA. From the Nashville Network, showing country music to The National Network(didn't work) to the New TNN to Spike TV "Network for Men" to "Network for guys from 18 to 34 and throwing at the audience the most cheap crass shows to Spike "Network maybe for guys but really for chicks too whatever that means".

so women get to have their own channel but men can't? Its not so much a "get to" situation as it is a situation where marketing exclusively to men is no longer as profitable. Most cable networks have stopped providing niche content in order to cast a wider net toward as broad an audience as possible. This is why AMC started showing original dramas in addition to classic movies and why Bravo turned from a high-brow culture network to a haven for reality shows. By moving away from the "frat boy' demographic they make themselves more attractive to advertisers. So Man-sers (a horrible guilty pleasure at best) might be on the way out, but more reality shows that have universal appeal will take their place.

I demand a crossover between AUCTION HUNTERS and IMPACT WRESTLING that stars Matt Hardy, Orlando Jordan & Kurt Angle.

so women get to have their own channel but men can't? Ahh but those channels are for women who hate women, as well as men. Have you seen Bad girls club, or Snapped? Fascinating. Lifetime was built on the Golden girls. Old ladies being Whores. What's not to love?

Yea but again network for women are not that profitable either. Those are niche channels to begin with, they are lying to themselves if they think they're going be blockbuster successes beyond what they are usualy selling. I wish there was a network for guys with the same dedication for original drama as the CW Network does for girls.

I wish there was a network for guys with the same dedication for original drama as the CW Network does for girls. After this season, the CW won't be the network for girls anymore. Dawn Ostroff is out, so they'll rebrand as a network that tries to appeal to males and females. As for Lifetime, they show Unsolved Mysteries, and that's awesome. I just wish it were the original episodes, not the Spike edits. Give us the Robert Stack episodes back.
