Seriously. When he came back to WWE he looked pretty much the same as always. Then a couple of years later in Evolution he looked like he does now.

People are always talking about how bad Flair looks but honestly I think he looks pretty damn good for a 62 year old man. I think Flair's biggest problem is that years of tanning plus TV makeup/ lighting make his face look very old and worn. I mean yeah he may not have the greatest looking body but if you are 62, and ripped to shreds chances are that something is very wrong, and you may not be around too much longer. The fact that our bodies deteriorate as we age is one of the reasons that humans are able to live as long as we do.

You know, I see a sense of irony in that double post.
To be the man, you have to beat the man.

He started working out with triple h and Batista... Maybe they were sharing their "vitamins" because Flair looked like his head literally grew.

I think it's similar to when it's getting near the end of the day and you notice that the sky is getting dark gradually. Then you look away for a few minutes and when you turn back, it's completely dark.

It's also why he lost all that hair in the period since Evolution. Healthy 54-56 year old men with a full head of hair don't just lose most of it in a short period of time for no reason. It's a shame too. When he came back to WWE, Flair actually looked 5 years younger than he did when WCW closed. To me at least. The workout "stuff" that worked for HHH isn't something a man in his 50s should be doing. And at Flair's age, he can easily get prescriptions for the kind of "hormone replacement therapy" that a younger wrestler couldn't reasonably obtain from a doctor.

I noticed that too. When he joined the WWF/E he was like he was in WCW(remember he won the belt again at 51 and he was fine). Then two years later it was like he aged 15 in 2 and could hardly keep up in the ring, people were afraid he would kill himself outthere. I think the way he was doing things in WCW protected his longevity of sort. And the WWF schedule and pace damaged him.

He looked really good when he first came back to the WWE. It's when he started slicking back his hair that you really started to notice it.

He did purposely start slicking it back in Evolution near the end of 2003, that's right, which made him look older too. Looked more like Ziggler's hair when he did that.
By the time he got to 2005 it was definitely going anyway, but he made himself look older a little earlier there because of not keeping that trademark fluffed-up Flair hair.
Give him that hair now and he wouldn't look quite as bad...it's the patchy look and tufts of 'crazy hair' that make him look so old when he's wrestled in recent years (plus the body, but hey, he is 62).

Then you look away for a few minutes and when you turn back, it's completely dark. Best example I can think of. Yeah, for a while when he came back, he looked mostly the same as he ever had. I'd argue that outside of not being fat, there's not a lot that makes him look good for his age. Average, maybe, but not good. His hair is very, very thin. His skin looks like he's wearing a flesh-colored sleeping bag (Granted, he's had loose skin since he was like 40). His skin is covered in scars and bad tanning practices, he has knobby knees, constantly appears to be sweaty.

He doesn't look bad, but I noticed that he has aged rapidly in a short time. I also noticed that he didn't begin to age rapidly once he entered the ring again.

Mostly is his thinning hair. The wet slickback look makes him look older. But when he did promos or non wrestling he looked fine. Then the hair started to be not as thick. Plus the blading. From his WWE run to TNA. He bleed a lot more then he did in WCW. So doing that often like he does in TNA and how bad he does it, doesn't help.
