Ron "the truth" killing as there cena in 2005 since the rapping gimmic was big at that time and ron was a real rapper and maybe they could of use that to promote tna.

I'm almost positive that doing so wouldn't have made the slightest bit of difference.

If they made him a Cena clone, if a casual fan saw what they would view as a rip-off in a tiny little arena, they'd probably think little of TNA.

He was over in tna at the end of his run. There just wasn't anything creative did to keep him a viable contender.

We been waitin for ya'll......we gon' knock yo blocks off! And it wouldn't have made much of a difference though it would have been interesting if they consistently pushed Truth like he was pushed somewhat in the beginning.

I don't know why WWE even picked him up. It's not like it was a "steal" from TNA.
He sucks.
His gimmick in WWE right now is "angry black man." We had that 13 years ago called the Nation of Domination playing the race card.
He comes across as plain ignorant when he speaks on the mic. And he's not convincing.

Wasn't that R Truth's gimmick back in the Asylum days? The discriminated angry black man?

Well maybe his fake movie career would've worked out better.

It's a good point that TNA could have gone for something different in Ron Killings... he was over. However, TNA went from alternative to slightly cheap copy somewhere near the end of 2006/beginning of 2007... and has just continued to flounder on.
I remember thinking in 2006 after ONS:2 and Hard Justice that wrestling was ready for a new boom period. I thought so wrong... like Mendenhall tweeting wrong.

Have you seen his early run in TNA in 2002? He made a heel turn only ten times better than what he did in WWE and it was amazing.
