Do you feel Jarrett was more underrated or overrated and never reached his full potential in WWE and WCW as he could of? Or TNA has just overrated him trying to make him be something he isn't

Hugely overrated by himself. Maybe underrated by some fans.

In 1993-95 WWF, I always thought he was entertaining, had pretty decent matches and angles, and figured he was a longshot possibility for a world title reign. Plus, when he dressed up like Doink and shoved pies and stuff in Dink's face, I liked him forever.
After that, not much. I know he went on to have more reigns and did well in his second WCW run, but it was never the same to me after he left the WWF the first time.

Massively underrated from what I've seen in TNA
He is a bonafide upper mid carder to main eventer. On the level of DDP Lex Luger Jericho Eddie or Steiner (Not on the level of Rock Austin or Hogan but still a main eventer) He sucks when he's complaining about corporate but as a delusional "chosen one" he is amazing

I think he's underrated as a worker, but also often overpushed...if that makes any sense at all.

During the early years of TNA when he was having his multiple title reigns I just thought how overrated he was. It's only now do I realise what an incredible heel Champion he played. Personally I never really cared for him back in WCW, it's only now do I realise what a great story telling wrestler he is. I love it when Angle and Jarrett face off as well, they both have incredible in-ring chemistry with one another (not that Angle can have a bad match with anyone, as he is that good). Underrated as far as I'm concerned.

Overrated beyond words. He single-handedly kept me from watching TNA during their early days after switching from their PPV only format. The amount of airtime he's currently chewing up is pushing me toward leaving again.

He overrates himself, but he is a great talent. I can actually remember the specific moment I started liking him. He was TNA champion for the upteenth time and I, as many fans were, was sick of him with the belt. He comes out to give a promo and the fans chant, 'Drop the title' at him.' Halfway through his promo, Jarrett drops the title to the ground, picks it back up and resumes talking without dropping a beat. It was hilarious and even managed to increase his heat in a situation when everyone was booing him.
Its little moments like that, where he works and responds to the crowd that shows what a great smarmy heel he was. He's also an underrated worker, his match vs HBK at IYH2 is to me an overlooked classic. However, I don't believe he was ever a star or a main event level guy. Its just my perspective, but he doesn't have that 'it' factor required to be a major star, especially during the attitude era when the industry was littered with them. Whilst he's a great heel, his hugely long reigns in the early days in TNA I think hurt the company, especially since it stopped guys like Raven, who had come in with a huge amount of excitement (at least for 2002-3 TNA) from winning the belt and running with it. He just wasn't enough of a 'star' to be the company's face when it was trying to grow, which he really tried to be for far too long.
Despite that though, he is a great talent and the spot he's in right now, just below the main event, working with guys who are either up and coming or waiting for their turn at the top of the card, like Angle, to me is perfect for him.

A little of both to me. He's not a guy to carry your company as the champion like he did in early TNA, but I think hes fine as an upper midcarder/fringe main eventer like he is today. Take away the wedding angle, and Jarrett has been all kinds of awesome since his heel turn in October.

I think that where he's at now, as an upper midcard guy, is exactly where he should be. He's a veteran talent, he can put on solid, consistent matches, and he can be entertaining on the mic.
He's not a believable world champion, though. The top guy in a company should have a certain "it" factor that makes him more than just a solid hand, but a guy who's able to capture the imagination of the fanbase and feel like a unique talent. Jarrett has never had that. He's an average-sized man, with a modest build, who lacks the physical presence or magnetic charisma to really excite people. He's definitely an asset to the company as a worker, but he needs to be the 2nd-tier heel who the rising babyface has to vanquish before he can become established as a real threat to the world title. If this were a just world, he would be feuding right now with someone like Pope.

At times over booked in terms of where he was in WCW, and even TNA sometimes. Otoh, sometimes underappreciated on the net.

Underrated by fans, overrated by himself.
I keep saying Jarrett is like a shorter version of Triple H. They're both good in the ring, good on the stick but they aren't guys that you build a company around. They both would have gotten title runs without using their backstage pull, but would never and should never have been booked as dominating as they have been in years gone by.

Took him long enough.

I always liked Double J, just not as a main eventer. He's not great in the ring, but he's far from bad.
